Shout out to Ricky's for being the last restaurant in the neighborhood to keep it real on food quality, price, and portion size.
I'd been scoping out Ricky's for a few weeks, after I noticed it by accident while walking by.
Wonderful and delicious home kitchen Puerto Rican dishes. I have no idea why this place doesn't have a line out the door all day everyday...probably because of its humble unassuming appearance.
Right now with the price gouging at restaurants and inflation, it's Exhausting going out to eat when you look at the bill.
It felt so good to sit down and have a plate if delicious homecooked food with a bottle of soda for $9.75!

They normally have chicken, steak, rice, beans, and empanadas.
A plate for chicken with rice and beans is $8. Steak is $8. Empanadas are $1.50!
They are all huge servings and deeeelish.
This is true home cooked goodness and the couple here are so nice.
I'll choose this spot over any other latin restaurant in the neighborhood.
