Ok, like most people in the US, I have been a frequent visitor to Starbucks for my coffee for many years. I have been intrigued by the different flavors and haven't thought much about price tag (which has been rising ever since) for a cup of coffee. I have had a good overall experience thanks to some good products and customer service. But hardly did I know my visit to this location at Exchange Place would change things forever. Few weeks back on a hot weekday afternoon I stepped out to grab an Ice Piña Colada Tea. Once I ordered and paid with my phone, I moved to the waiting area to get my call. After about 10 min I see the person who ordered after me grab her cup and rush out. I asked the Barista how much time my drink will take and she picks up my queued cup which is still behind 3 more cups!!! I feel frustrated on why is it taking that long and how am I still that far away from getting my order completed. She accidently drops my cup, picks it up and places it back where it was...At this point I lose my patience and ask for a cancellation and refund. How could you put the dropped cup back in the queue? It should have gone in the trash. The person at the counter tells me that since I paid from the app, I will be refunded by the person who initially took my order. I looked puzzled...and she had the gutts to wave her hand and points me in the direction of the person who took my order and ask me to talk to him. I have had enough and want to speak to the manager and I keep my place at the counter. At that point the Barista calls out my name and tells me my drink is ready. I tell her I don't want it anymore and I want to cancel my order. The manager shows up and starts to process my request and I ask her if she cares to know why am I cancelling the order? She nodes and I tell her the horrible and insulting experience I just had at that location. Starbuck advertises and spends million on the overall Experience of having coffee etc. and That went totally wrong at that very point. No body cares to understand or apologize on what happened. I tell both the persons at the counter that they should rethink their way of doing things here. I get my refund and decide not to walk into that Starbucks...
Read moreThis morning, I took my dog in this Starbucks as usual and the barista ask me go out because this is a full-stack store and he said he said this to every pet-owner. This is funny cause this is the fist time I heard this request and I explained to him the police told me I can take my dog in here. Then the other barista said she is not a police and she does not know what the police said and she needs me step out the store. The first Barista explained this is a new management. I told him there should be MUTUAL RESPECT. I came to this Starbucks over a year. When I just moved here, I let my dog sit outside Starbucks to take my mobile order and the police took my dog in and said this is a pet-friendly community and there were people steal dogs these days. So I took my dog into every Starbucks ever since then and no one asked me out. As a pet owner, I know I cannot go to grocery, food related stores, or any stores have a no-pet sign. For Starbucks I always place mobile order at least 20 minutes earlier so I can just go to store grab-and-go. If there is a policy change or management change, you could put a note on your door and pet-owners would follow. Another interesting thing happened last year, the red-cup day, is this store is super understaffed that day and when I walked in the store as usual, not knowing the event, the store is packed with people. A brista yelled "YOU CHOSE TO PICKUP HERE THEN JUST...
Read moreThis is the worst Starbucks on the planet. I placed a mobile order 10 minutes prior to my arrival to this location. The organizational structure is in disarray resulting in an employee having a breakdown during service. I watched nearly a dozen guests come and pay at the counter while receiving their items before I received mine. The app provided false notifications that my order was being made as I watched closely to the drinks in process. The woman older Latina woman wearing prada glasses that made my drink slammed it on the counter after waiting nearly 20 minutes for a drink that was listed as ready 10 minutes earlier. There was no greeting, no kind remark or anything of the sort afforded to me while these comments were given to previous guests. I waited quietly and patiently and was left disappointed and disrespected. This was supposed to be a quick stop before leaving for an important appointment. I should have had more than enough time however this 25 minute detour caused me to miss 2 path trains. GO TO GREGORY’S instead! They have fantastic beverages, a plethora of vegan options and consistently SUPERIOR service. I will never...
