They overcharged me for a combo over rice (no complementary drink). It was raining when I visited and so I didn’t have a chance to review the prices listed on their truck. And after making my food, they told me to pay 20$ cash for two combo rice platters. I thought the pricing was off but didn’t say anything coz I just thought that was their price until… I met my local friend who told me I should’ve only paid 8$ (showed me a pic) and also have gotten a complementary drink.
It’s not about the 4$ difference but the fact that they over charged me without even thinking twice is why I’m writing this review. Food was okay (nothing special and like any other food truck)
Edit: I just wanted to clarify that I did not order/get any drink. So the 10$ charge is still just as wrong. Can’t comment about their culture as I’ve been here only once and this whole experience left...

Read moreOne the way back from Barcade, we stopped by this food truck; and baby, we weren't disappointed. Fast and friendly service coupled with loyal customers in the line chanting, "falafel!" However, we were in the mood for chicken and rice. Practically ran back to dig in and wasn't disappointed. Savory wings on top of a mountain of yellow rice. Right before they closed the styrofoam box, they added a side salad and drizzled the entire dish with a mystery white sauce. Finally, a NYC-style food truck in NJ. Kudos Djuru Grill for making a lasting impression on Jersey City's emerging...
