This morning I ordered on the mobile app for curbside pick up. It was supposed to be ready at 9:16 but I was running late so when I got there at around 9:40 I decided to go inside to grab it instead of parking in curbside. When I got inside and told them I’m picking up my order they inform me that they had just given it to some Mexican man in an orange jacket right before I came in. I said I don’t know what Mexican man would’ve got it and they continued to tell me it’s been picked up. I wasn’t rude or anything and quite understanding and was willing to wait for my order that they did remake for me. But continued to ask if I had a “Mexican husband” that picked it up. Which makes no sense since they said the guy that picked it up was for DoorDash. Why would I have my “Mexican husband” dasher come pick up my personal order? And the receipt clearly said curbside order with a description of my truck. After giving me my order I began to leave and they followed me outside to see me leaving in my truck that was described with my black boyfriend (not Mexican) in the truck with me. As if I was lying about picking up my order. This place needs better management and to check the person picking up the orders and admit to mistakes when they are made.
Response to management: I didn’t “demand” anything. Although what other recourse would’ve been taken considering you gave my food away. Again my Boyfriend is a 6ft tall BLACK MAN with a BLACK t shirt on when we were there this morning. He didn’t leave the truck AT ALL. Your “thorough investigation”? You mean when the whole staff was questioning every employee in the area where my order was and who picked it up and then proceeded to follow me to my truck??? Yeah okay. I’ll be calling corporate and yall can review alllllll of yall footage cause yall are some liars. Ridiculously...
Read moreMy rating for this location swiftly changed from very poor to EXCELLENT - all because of my server Lexie!!! I have a VERY Compromised immune system and I frequent Denny's (especially for their T-Bone Steak w/eggs and their delicious loaded omelets)! I always request secluded seating and have always been accommodated. The host (Adriana) at this particular location refused my request (stating there is no server in the area that I am usually seated in). I told her my reason for the request and she told me that was not her problem?! I asked to speak with a manager! She left then came back and told me the manager went to the store and there was no manager available. I asked who was in charge and she again went to the back; then returned and told me I could not be seated in that area. She said a server told her so! Within moments Lexie approached the counter and asked if she could assist. I told her my request and issue. She immediately stated that is no problem, seated me & brought me coffee! She was very accommodating, caring, kind & polite! On top of that she was an excellent server who just happened to be VERY Attentive! She provided me with EXCELLENT Service. When I Thanked her for her service, she told me it's her job to accommodate guests. She far exceeded my expectations!!! Because of her my visit was elevated to a whole different level! I cannot THANK HER enough. I really needed to eat because I did not eat before leaving home; my blood sugar was dropping and I had a very small window of opportunity to avoid a diabetic crisis! Before I left, two additional parties were seated in the same spacious area. I observed several servers attending other customers. Why was I told, there were...
Read moreSo, this particular diner is often almost eerily empty. It's not even open 24hrs, 24/7 like most Denny's locations. (Currently they're open from 6am-9:30pm*, every day. *Note: hours of operation extend to 24 hrs {Wed thru Sat, 6am to 9:30pm Sun thru Tues} on Wednesday, Nov 23rd, 2022.) Although I'm not sure I can explain exActly why, I have, myself, both co-owned a restaurant and have worked in the industry for decades; I surmise that the lack of business is because of "location, location, location". This is a fast-paced, "community of convenience", therefore the McDonald's and Burger King franchises - which flank the poor, destitute diner - hog almost all of the harried breakfast and lunch crowd. Nothing is imperically "wrong" with the restaurant. It's clean, the food is, well, "diner-decent", sub-par, (as is mOst Denny's' grub, of course); but both the guest service and management of this location are, atypically, "above and beyond" expectations -- likely because they have more time to spend catering to fewer tables; servers' tips - like their customers - are few and far between. Gotta hand it to 'em (workers) for sticking around 'waiting for business to pick up' -- and so should you: Go. Dine privately. Enjoy the silence and the service. Say "Hi" to Diane, the GM, (and an interesting, humorous woman.) And remember: tip well. (Your server has literally waited on you.) Bon...
