Service was really really slow. Food was really good though. Update: Like this place. Tonight needed a supper and a place to do some paperwork. The maitre d was awesome and gave me a piece of paper to do notes. The servers were quick and so many I wasn't sure who my waiter was. I immediately ordered my cheese enchiladas and went to work. They had it out pretty quickly and it was good as always. The only downside is that for a cheese enchilada plate and water it was almost $23 and that is a high price. Wished I could afford to come more often I never ordered a soft drink. Update: went here again and ordered my usual cheese enchiladas. My wife and our friend ordered dishes we hadn't had before and they were impressive looking and very good. My wife thinks she got her new favorite. Our server, spelled Isaasc on the receipt, was probably one of the best servers we've had. He was so attentive and right there filling our glasses before I even notice them being low and replacing chips and salsa or doing whatever was needed. He got the orders out quickly and it was really a fantastic meal and time. Update: wife tried the taco salad and I had my usual cheese Enchiladas. Nice quiet lunch

I have been living by this restaurant for sooooo many years and finally decided to drop by for their weekend Breakfast Tacos. I had the Barbacoa taco and it was definitely made the traditional way with the right kind of tender meat 😁. The bacon, egg, and potato breakfast taco was delightful as well and tortilla was on point. I will go back and try their lunch/dinner menu soon for sure. 2023 update Went back for dinner service To Go and ordered online on their Website for: Brisket Empanadas- delicious flaky crust with tender meat but Meat needed SALT. Beef Quesadilla absolutely delightful and tender and will be back for this dish. Chicken Quesadilla- good but too many vegetables sooo I suggest ask for just meat and cheese on it. Beef Chalupa- just wanted to try. But wasn't my vibe. Queso with Beef- Compliments the food very well and reheats well the next day Seriously. Last but not least Sour cream, jalapenos, pico, Guacamole ALL fresh 😋

**4-11-22 Update** Received some feedback SOME11 months later. 🤦‍♂️ Response from the owner- "I guess if you stay home it's best thank you" **ORIGINAL REVIEW** Unfortunately I would not recommend eating here. The food was average at best with a few issues. I had the lunch chicken fajitas with charro beans and rice. I also had a single cheese enchilada (I always have to try the red sauce at new places). While the chicken did have "grill marks", the texture reminded me of boiled chicken thrown on the grill; it had zero flavor despite coming out sizzling . Also, both the beans and rice had a slight fishy taste and smell, probably from some reused pans or utensils. The single cheese enchilada was the best tasting item I had at lunch (not shown because it was not put in with the rest of my order).

Update: After reading the following response from the restaurant staff ("You need to be very careful of what you’re saying because you are not making any sense. It sounds like you’re a hater") to my previous post (see below), here's my response: I think you need to be very careful of what you're saying because you are infringing on my right to free speech and to express my opinion. You can have your opinion however you want about me, but I am not a hater (I am a Christian who goes to church twice a week). I was just relating what happened when my wife and I went there since we were hungry and had a craving for Mexican food for dinner. We just happened to be in the area and saw this place, so we figured this would be perfect for dinner. God knows I'm telling the truth in my below post, and if the service and food were better then I would have posted a much better review (and you seem to be forgetting that I did give a good review for the decor and the music). Now that you responded to my post with an attitude and called me - a customer/patron - a hater, you are only making things worse for your business instead of being understanding and taking the constructive route of ensuring that your staff improve their service. That's what a true leader does. That's all I have to say.

My previous post: We were a bit disappointed with our visit. After entering the restaurant, I noticed that there were a few occupied tables among many and it wasn't a busy time. Once we were seated, the hostess left our table without asking if we wanted anything to drink and it took about 5 minutes or so before a guy finally came and took our drink order. After he returned with our drinks, he turned to leave (without asking if we were ready to order) and I had to call to him to let him know that we were ready to order. The food we ordered was not all that great, and the fried cheese sticks were terrible. I liked the decor and the music in the restaurant, but I just don't understand why the service was bad when it wasn't busy at the time and that some of the food tasted like it came out of a box. I don't think...

It takes a lot out of me to have to write a bad review, especially for a place that I enjoy MOST of the time depending on who is working, but today was the LAST AND FINAL STRAW! During my husband's lunch break, he stopped by Don Ramon's to grab him something quick and tasty, but unfortunately, the MANAGER IRMA was working. When he arrived he went to the bar, Irma was talking to 2 other people who were eating together at the bar next to the cash register which is right across the front door, so she can see people coming in and out. My husband patiently waited for IRMA to greet him, give him a signal that she would be right with him or something, but as usual, she didn't, and to be honest, I'm not surprised. I wish I could say it was busy, but it wasn't, so there isn't any excuse as to why she didn't acknowledge him or welcome him! NOW this is what puts the icing on the cake...As my husband is STILL waiting on her another customer walks in (a homeless man), she then makes herself available to greet him, starts a conversation with him, and then he tells her that he wants to get something to eat. At this point, my husband is distraught, gets up, and leaves. I wouldn't be as angry if this were the first time, but she does this A LOT. I've been going to Don Ramon's before it was Don Ramon's, and I can't say I have had Irma speak or acknowledge me! You would think that as a manager who has been there for three decades plus, would know how to acknowledge and greet customers who walk through the door, the last time I checked, this isn't your place of business, and you can't choose whom you welcome. Before my husband and I became business owners, I was a manager for seven years, and it was my job to make sure to treat the company as if it was my own, especially when the owner is not there. You are supposed to be a reflection of him—one more thing before I end my rant about Irma's horrible customer service. Irma, I think you forgot your mask at home because you were NOT wearing it...

I repeat DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!! My family and I went to this restaurant yesterday for my Mom's birthday dinner. This was our first time dining at this place and definitely our last!!! My Mom hear great things about the restaurant however I hate we went there. First of all, they lied to us about a Tuesday night special that was posted on their website. Our waiter and the manager claims the price changed a few days earlier. I informed them their website should reflect all changes, I did have a screenshot of the special.

Secondly, the service for our party was HORRIBLE!!! Even though we made reservations days before we were left standing at the entrance of the restaurant for close to ten minutes! The main waiter seemed as if we were bothering him, hello we're the customer it's your job to serve with a positive attitude!!! Plus I mentioned to him this is our first time here, most business would attempt to give great recommendations and show even more hospitality. Some members of our party received extra crunchy tortillas and they act as if it wasn't a big deal. For refills and any other services we had to flag down the waiters! Also many people in our party didn't even receive refills on their beverages, at businesses it's the waiter's responsibility to constantly come around to make sure the guests glass remains fresh & filled!

To be honest I believe our party was discriminated against because of our ethnicity! The sad part of the whole situation is they behavior almost caused a damper on my Mother's celebration!! Do not support...
