I Heart Boba — Restaurant in Jersey Village

I really like 'I Heart Boba'. I have almost always gotten perfect drinks and food, with the occasional too sweet boba or slightly sour cucumbers in the sandwiches. But that is overlooked with the great service and friendly staff. Today I ordered online, which is about $1.50 more than if you go in person. Again, it doesn't matter because I usually get excellent food and drinks. I was very disappointed and frustrated when I got home after picking up my online order and seeing that there was no avocado in my ham and avocado banh-mi... I called and questioned the young lady about it, she simply said, "we didn't have avocados so therefore you didn't get avocado in your sandwich, so...yeah". I  was surprised I wasn't told when I was there in person or called to let me know, cause I would have told them to switch it to a different one. I specifically wanted that one because AVOCADO WAS A MAIN INGREDIENT, it was NOT an add on. The fact they stayed hushed about it is what disappointed and frustrated me... Why not tell me??? I wouldn't have been mad, I'd have switched to a different sandwich. I was promised I'd be called back once they spoke with the manager, but I haven't heard back from them (it's been 4 hrs and I'm starting to think I most likely won't). I don't hate this place, I have been a customer for years now (6 yrs), I'm just shocked they chose not to say anything. I'm not sure if maybe they thought, "well, once she gets home, it's not like she'll come back or say anything"...?... I'm discouraged by it, that being said, I'm still going to come here, I do think it's a great place, BUT BE AWARE if you order online do NOT leave the restaurant until you check your order and make sure your food is not missing any ingredients 'cause unfortunately it now seems they won't say anything, or compensate you for it. ☹️

I live at Westheimer and Eldrige but travel to Lonestar College for school. I have tried all of the boba places in between those locations and this place is by far my favorite out of all I've tried! The first time I went in I caught the owner cleaning the bathrooms, not the regular employees , but the guy himself! Really speaks to his character and the quality of the place itself! And the restrooms are ALWAYS spotless!! So, I have full faith in the kitchen! As for everything else, the tapioca drinks are great, the girls that work behind the counter are always nice, and the sandwiches are by far THE BEST in Houston!!! If you've never tried tapioca or vietnamese sandwiches, this is a great place to go! They really go above and beyond...

This spot is under new management and it is AMAZING! They gave out some samples to show some new menu items (toasted tofu and chicken nuggets) and they were spectacular. The bulgogi banh mi is what I never knew my cravings needed until I had it! The drinks great with every dietary restriction cared for whether you want non-dairy, gluten-free, or low to no sugar options available. OH YES, and the chocolate chip cookies by the register are TO DIE FOR! Best chocolate chip cookies, hands down. Perioddddd

All of the workers here are conscious of the current pandemic situation so everyone is masked and certain tables marked off for social distancing.

Really well ran boba spot with the customers in mind. Will be back...
