Maytena Bakery #1 — Restaurant in Jersey Village

I've been coming to this bakery for the longest and honestly, I'm very disappointed. I ordered a birthday cake with an edible print, paid in full, and was to be picked up by 1:00pm. I arrived at 3:45pm just to find out that my cake wasn't ready. I spoke to the girl who was at the cash register and said that it still needed a few adjustments made. They called the person who decorates the cake and told me that she was on her way to finish it up. She said she would have it by 4:05pm. The time is 4:16pm as I write this review. It turns out that the edible print was ordered and was barely on the way. Honestly, I'm very upset because they did not offer an apology and only offered a $5.00 discount. These people are very incompetent and irresponsible. Don't come here unless you want your cake to be incompleted befor you arrive. This is the last time I will be ordering cakes from this place. If I could give zero stars, I would. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

UPDATE They did manage to finish decorating the cake at 4:45pm. The decorater came out and apologized. I understand that things happen, but there is no excuse for not having clients orders in time. Management should prioritize teaching their employees to be responsible and efficient. It's a shame to lose customers for these types...

I'm only giving this place a star because I can't put nothing I just went there today to get some bread and i went into another store before i went there and I sent my husband in to see what kinda bread they have my hubby looked over the counter to the back to see if someone was in the back to get help on which bread to get and the man came from the back and told him we have lots if bread to choose from can't u see so my husband came back to tell me i went in after I came out the other store with my mom and me and my mom went into the store and my hubby came back in to to get some bread with me and the guy called the cops on us because we were black and said my husband had to leave the store and if he came back they would arrest him such a shame then to add to it they sent a hispanic cop who was on rude to my husband it's a shame prejudice still exist today smh will never go back here I didn't even spend my money here I walked out I just thank God we made it out that situation safe with all these cops shooting us black folks the owners of this shop should be ashamed of themselves running a business like...

Pastel de tres leches se me desiso!! Las empliadas no saben dar la informacion correctamente! De que sirve q vendan el mejor pan dulce de Houston si el servicio vale una fregada!! Se aprocechan de sus clientes!! 😳

I bought a tres leches cake upon cutting it it fell apart! I guess from to much milk!! The employees suck at giving correct information! I ordered a cake i needed enough for at least 25 people/guest! When i arrived to pick up cake they had made make big enough for 8 people that was the small cake that I was told was enough for 24! 😡👊🏻

I called this morning to express my concerns and i was hung up on twice and the women that i spoke to refused to tell the name of the manager!! I said " who do i ask for when i call back?" They insisted i ask for manager!! How pathetic is...
