What a disgusting dinning experience my family has been through tonight. We have been coming here for years, absolutely no issues and no problems. We tolerate the slower than usual service and forgetful nature, because we enjoy the ambiance and good family times. Tonight was a different story. We had a broken finger nail in our drink. We had almost finished the drink and were wrapping up dinner. Not only did the managers act as if nothing happen, but they wanted us to pay for the drink. We have been coming here for years with no incident and they reacted as if we had placed it there ourselves. After removing the nail, the manager sat down texted on her phone for thirty minutes (3 feet) in front of me. We waited and waited for our bill to no avail. They reacted as if this was NO BIG DEAL. It was as if this happens every day. How disgusting there customer service—the owner came out extremely unfazed and annoyed with us having a complaint. He demanding to know how high the bill was when we complained about paying for the drink. THE DRINK WAS ON THE BILL, THEY WANTED US TO PAY FOR IT. He acted with no sympathy and no care whatsoever. We left feeling completely disappointed and disrespected. I have read reviews about something like this happening and I didn't really believe that someone could be treated this way in the hospitality business, but it happened to my family and now I can say that this restaurants can treat you like trash . This is the first review I have ever written. I am so disgusted, that nail looks like a freaking toe nail, wide and yellow. Never in my life has my dining experience been so horrible. We paid our bill and left, feeling accused and ignored. If you want slow service, human body parts in your drinks and to act like you put it there yourself—- visit Soto’s—

Received a gift card while at work Friday 6/23/23 from Soto’s cantina. Was super excited to go this weekend being 8 months pregnant and love Mexican food!!!! The gift card has 2 locations clearly stated in the card. The one on grant rd is closer to my home than the one on west little York. Saturday 6/24/23 me and my husband arrived at the location on grant rd. We ate fajitas for 1 and enchiladas. Food was fair, very small portions and over priced! Our server was good. After we ate i never received a check for the food we received and presented the gift cards to the server and my debit card for the balance remaining after the gift cards. He went and asked a manger if he could honor them and came back and said I’m sorry thisis only For the west little York location. I told him the card doesn’t state that and also shows 2 locations clearly on the cards. He said I know and proceeded to get the manager. Manager GABBY proceeded to walk to the wrong table To explain until the server pointed her our way. She came to our table extremely rude and laughing stating we do not except that. I asked why it doesn’t stateThat on the card and why Is shows there location as an option to dine at. She said those are free and continued laughing. She didn’t want to except a gift Card because she wouldn’t get paid and walked off. I proceeded to pay our OVERPRICED meal of $65 for 2, thankful we have the money otherwise what would we have done!? Long story short Horrible management (GABBY) instead of doing what was right she laughed at a potential new customer for life and dismissed us. I too am in management and own my own business and this is definitely Not how you run and establishment! DO NOT GET GIFT CARDS!!!

The food is FANTASTIC. The service my fiancé and I received the last time we ate there was HORRENDOUS.

From the beginning our waitress had an “I really don’t care to be here” attitude. Which we let roll off in the beginning because we understand that everyone has a bad day every so often- so whatever, not a big deal. My fiancé and I have both worked in the industry, so we always try to be as understanding and patient as possible when dining out anywhere. However, we became a little more frustrated as the night went on and we had to wait a long time to get refills on water and order drinks because she was hanging out and chatting with a group of other servers who were also hanging around doing nothing. Things are not great, but decent enough up until this point. We have our food and are close to being done when my fiancé realizes that he actually didn’t receive his full order. His combination was supposed to include a taco as well. So the next time our waitress leisurely makes her way back to us, we let her know and ask if she can just take the taco off the bill since we were about done eating anyway. She gives no apology for the mishap and seems a bit put-off by the request. Nonetheless she makes her way to take it off the bill. She comes back and asks if it would be okay if they just send us with the taco to-go. We politely declined because we do not typically eat left overs, and we wouldn’t want to waste the food. We then politely asked to speak with the manager. Still with no hint of an apology, and now seeming even more annoyed, she goes back to figure out the bill. She comes back with the check and says that they just took care of the entire meal, but next time we need to let her know immediately if something is wrong so that she can fix it. Mind you- we didn’t even realize until we were done eating. And as a server it is your job to check your orders before you take them. We were her only table on a super slow Wednesday night. Anyway, my fiancé steps outside while I take care of the tip and everything and to wait to speak with the manager who has still not come to speak with us. Our server comes back to pick up the check and I ask if the manager is still available because we would still like to speak to him. She points to a man sitting at the table directly behind us and says “that’s him- he’s busy right now”. This man has been sitting behind us the ENTIRE TIME talking with a different woman at the table and couldn’t take 5 min to speak with us about our concerns. So I walk out to let my fiancé know that the manager is “too busy” on an absolutely dead Wednesday night to speak with us for 5min. He walks back in to get the name of the manager (Juan), and a different server asked if everything was okay and came out to the front patio to speak with us. His name was Abel and he was was wonderful. We let him know our concerns and he apologized and gave us the name of a different manager to call the next day. He was a better manager than anyone else in the place and seemed to be the only one who really cared about being there that evening.

All in all, it was a really frustrating experience. Especially because I had eaten there once before and it was absolutely amazing all around. I wanted my fiancé to try it because it was so good, and we ended up having one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. That’s the whole reason we really wanted to speak to a manager- just to let them know what issues need to be fixed overall. We really love the food and that they make everything fresh, and we see what awesome potential the place has. Hopefully it was just an off night, or maybe things are only that terrible when Juan is the manager on duty, but we won’t be returning there anytime...
