Updated 5/14/23 The family and I have come multiple times. In fact, see my original review at bottom where I gave them 5 stars. Sadly it's gone steeply downhill since. Latest visit is Mother's Day (5/14/23) and it just wasn't good. First off the service is terrible. Not polite at all and almost yelling at you. Keep in mind they aren't busy at all, they just opened and we were the 2nd table. Definitely set a bad tone right off the bat. Nicest person was the man that rang me up at the register.
Food wise it's dropped in quality, like it's completely different chefs. It's not bad, just not as great as it was. Secondly, the quality of the ingredients used have gone down the basement. I get inflation had made things tougher, but the combo was basically just fried rice and some sides. The meat portion was a sad chicken wing segment (not even a whole wing) they skillfully cut into 3 pieces so it looks like more. The egg tart was the worst...unless you enjoy curdled eggs.
It wasn't all bad. Best tasting item was the appetizer, which was a dough fritter with beef rolled with a flaky pancake.
Unfortunately this was prob our last time visiting. I feel like this is the 3rd chance we've given them and they only gotten worse with each successive visit.
Original 5 star review The weekend brunch was delicious! They give a great variety and all of it was good. Beef noodle soup was my favorite but if you're on the fence on spicy, get the mild. Scallion pancake was my 2nd fav and it has all the flaky layers like the authentic ones. Too many places now serve it where it's just thick and chewy. Yifan...
Read moreI am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience at Yifan Chinese Restaurant in Johns Creek, which was by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in my 80 years of life. I placed an order for lunch and was told to pick it up in 20 minutes. I arrived 30 minutes later, yet upon entering, I was ignored at the front desk for several minutes. After about 10 minutes, one server approached me, but she didn’t speak any English. There were two more servers, neither of whom spoke English either. As for my order, which I placed 40 minutes earlier, I was told it would be ready in “5 minutes.” After waiting 5 minutes, I asked again, only to be told, “3 minutes.” Another 5 minutes passed, and I was told the same thing. Frustrated, I handed over my card and asked to cancel the order. I was told, “Can’t cancel, order ready.” Another 5 minutes later, a server rushed from the kitchen with my food. Upon getting into my car, I discovered that three of the containers were not properly secured. The sesame chicken sauce had leaked all over the bag, ruining the upholstery of my car. On top of that, I had ordered shrimp broccoli with brown sauce, but received shrimp with no sauce at all. The corn soup I specifically asked for twice was missing, and the steamed rice was cold and lumpy. The shrimp was dry and lacked any sauce. While the restaurant’s decorations were beautiful, that was the only positive aspect of the visit. The service was terrible, and the food was subpar at best. I strongly suggest...
Read moreI cannot thank Yi Fan Restaurant and Wang Fan herself enough for the incredible venue they provided for our wedding ceremony. We were married on Thanksgiving in their main event hall. As late planners, with our wedding plans coming together over just the past few weeks, we were deeply grateful for how Yi Fan's team guided us step by step and accommodated our evolving requirements.
From the start, we were shown the various event spaces, each with its unique layout and features. After selecting the perfect space, we made a modest reservation deposit, which was later applied to our final bill. Subsequently, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Wang Fan herself. She expertly guided us through the process of selecting menu items and planning the event logistics. Wang Fan shared her wealth of knowledge and experience with grace, listening attentively to our needs and offering a range of options without ever pressuring us to exceed our budget.
The execution of the event was outstanding. Their technology, food, staff, and attention to detail were truly top-notch. Every aspect we had discussed in advance was delivered flawlessly.
Once again, a heartfelt thank you to Wang Fan, who helped us create a wedding event that exceeded our expectations and what we could have accomplished on our own. Meeting Wang Fan was a privilege; she is professional yet approachable, graceful yet...
