I had seen the location in Bristol & thought about checking it out so when a friend in Jonesborough suggested I pick up food from the Johnson City location on my way to meet her, I was all for it. I used the drive thru which was surprisingly busy at 2:30pm - I was 4 cars back with 2 behind me. I placed my order: a scoop of Olivia's Old South chicken salad, a scoop of Sassy Scotty chicken salad & a Jalapeno Holly chicken salad sandwich. All were ordered with the mac & cheese side for her kids. I was quite disappointed when I opened my first container. It was a 3 section styro container with a small scoop of chicken salad on a single piece of lettuce lost in the large section of the container, save the prepackaged cookie sitting on the chicken salad. Why? There was so much available space in the large section of the container, there was no reason to put the cookie in the chicken salad so the wrapper was slimy with mayo on one side. In one of the small sections, there were 4 packs of club crackers & in the other small section, a dill pickle spear. First, I didn't like that some of the items were wrapped & others weren't. It didn't seem sanitary. Next, I thought the chicken salad serving size was rather small & the Olivia's Old South scoop was in a puddle - maybe the lettuce was wet? I was shocked to see the crackers & cookie because I had avoided the sandwich to avoid the carbs & yet my healthy scoop included all the empty carbs. The Olivia's Old South chicken salad was pretty good, but too wet/watery at the bottom. The Sassy Scotty chicken salad was much more dry, but it was so salty I couldn't eat it. I gave it to a friend. I was there when she ate it - or attempted to. Halfway through she bit down on a chunk of bone the size of a penny. My friend who ordered the Jalapeno Holly chicken salad sandwich said hers was good, but I was not at all happy with my experience or with the poor value for what I received. I will definitely not be returning to this or any other location of...
Read moreWe love this place! It was clean, friendly, had quick service, and the food and prices were great. We both had the Carol’s Classic Chicken Salad Croissant. It tasted great and was some of the best chicken salad that we have had. The croissants were fresh, soft and tasted great. The poppyseed salad was fresh and had lots of ingredients as well. The fruit was fresh and tasted sweet. The portions were a good filling size. Each sandwich was accompanied by a small sugar cookie with icing that was really good. We both had a great meal in a great place for $20.00 - that never happens. They even allow you to taste the item before purchasing it to make sure that you like it (I only know ice cream parlors that do that). We will be going to Chicken Salad Chic in every town we see one from now on. They had a drive thru (WOW) and offer take out. They even have parking especially for to go/ pick up orders. This is a great place to go for great food at...
Read moreWas our second time having chicken salad chick after an amazing experience in Birmingham Al. 5 persons ordered 3 orders received. The order given to us wrong and the food looked like it was thrown in the plates, we asked for it to be corrected and the cashier was happy to assist as she saw the order was definitely not complete and not put together well. Female Manager then decided to come and tell us that nothing was wrong and after we explained everything to her she had nothing but a rude, disgusting attitude. She came to us again about 10 minutes later telling us again that our order was fine and we should accept it, and we saw that she wouldn’t stop giving attitude, we asked for our money back which she then told us she didn’t want to do. arguing with her we got our money back and left. Truly a terrible manager and “cooks” are clearly not interested. This brand should be better...
