Poppers Tea — Restaurant in Joliet

Went to the counter and ordered a fruit green tea with crystal (white) boba. It was rung up as regular tapioca pearls so I confirmed with her that it would be given to me with white boba twice. She assured me that the drink would be made with white boba. But sure enough, when I received my drink it was given to me with regular tapioca pearls. I went up to the counter and told them I had ordered white boba. They told me they could not remake it for me unless I paid for another drink. I asked if they could please remake it because I attempted to confirm my order multiple times. To no avail. I didn’t want to pay for another drink so I just took it. I got 2 drinks since I rarely get boba. A watermelon milk tea with peach and lychee poppers and then strawberry milk tea with rainbow jelly and lychee poppers. Worst 16 dollars of my life. I would be very shocked to find out if they actually knew how to make milk tea boba correctly because it tastes like milk dumped into strongly brewed tea with flavored syrup. A couple drinks in and my stomach started to hurt. I just thought it was the drink with rainbow jelly because I never had rainbow jelly. So I tried my other drink. Same gross syrupy "off" taste. Personally I wasn’t happy with my experience, there was only 1 worker so I realized I had to be patient. After 20 minutes with only 1 other person I got annoyed. When I got the boba it wasn’t fully mixed and I only got 1/2 a scoop of boba.Terribly disappointed with my service. Although it was a clean environment and polite service. I was sad to spend 7$ on Boba that was not enjoyable.
