We had my son's 16th birthday here (10/5); the experience altogether was great(!) I called a couple of days before to see if they took group/party reservations; they don't take actual reservations, however with enough notice they will try to make sure there is space for the amount of people, and that makes your group at the top of the wait list. I asked if the lady making the cake (Sugar and Sage) could drop it off to be kept in the refrigerator, (I didn't want it to get messed up or melt while we did errands); the waitress helping me, said that wouldn't be a problem. She told me she was going to make note of the party and time, so the waitress/waiters that evening would know. She also recommended me to call Thursday early (10/5 party day), to make sure a space in the refrigerator was made for the cake, and to give another estimate count of people expect. They were busy (lunchtime), nobody was able to answer; no big deal! I was on break from classes, so I went up there to remind them about the cake, time (8:30), and give an estimated headcount (10-15). We wound up getting there about 30-40 minutes early, with about 25-30 amazing, wonderful, God sent souls; (who came to help my son celebrate his 16th birthday. We have no family in Arkansas, however God has put the most caring, loving, and kindest people in our lives). We waited about 10 minutes; again, absolutely no deal at all, (we were early, an we had more people, than I really could had imagined!) The service was absolutely wonderful, our waiter was very sweet and helpful, the food was delicious, the amount of time to order and receive drinks and food was remarkable(!) Thank you Chili's, the young woman who I spoke to Monday or Tuesday on the phone, the young lady who helped me in-person (day of the party, making sure everything was set), and the young man who served us the evening of 10/5/23 for helping his birthday celebration go smoothly. We will...
Read moreWhile my food was cooked perfectly and my waiter provided excellent service. My daughter’s oranges contained pork in them. We don’t eat pork for religious reasons and I requested to speak to the manager. When he finally did come out he merely apologized in which I asked how is that possible for a meat to cross contaminate into oranges when they are not shelved/stored in the same location. He stated that more than likely when they scooped it out pork may have fell into it on mistake. This leaves another question of why the dish isn’t being prepared separate from those products. I didn’t want money off my bill but to bring clarity to the lack of attention, preparation, and storage of products. If this was a food allergy maybe this would have been taken more seriously but I guess religious reasons don’t sit as a priority. The encounter with the manager did not seem genuine or as if he truly cared for the matter. Instead of asking me what I would like to happen vs being prepared to handle the situation as manager should have been more appropriate. These dishes come out and should be checked by at least the cook, first cook, and waiter/waitress prior to it hitting the table. Where is the guidance and leadership in the kitchen? Why is the manager not overseeing the storage properly to ensure cleanliness and health guidelines are followed appropriately? The lack thereof is discerning. Perhaps a district lead needs to stop by to ensure the facility is managing properly. (I’ve been food service for over 11 years and have my doctorate in business while concentration in food service, with my state credentials so the poor response was truly a...
Read moreI'll be honest, we came over to Chili's to celebrate my youngest son's birthday after a rough experience trying to get a table at Olive Garden. We checked in online with an estimated wait time of 6 minutes. When we walked in we were told it would be 15 minutes even though it was pretty empty. We were admittedly grumpy by this point because of the previous experience. The young lady told us that she would text us when our table was ready so we waited outside. After 15 minutes, we went in to check and saw that they'd given the table they were clearing for us to the family that walked in after us. The restaurant was in rough shape like ownership does not care about customer experience at all. They walked us past a couple of large tables to a booth (there were 6 of us). The seat of the booth had a big hole in the seat with some duct tape over it. The tables we walked past were dirty. We noticed that a couple of other booths had holes too. We were given three menus for 6 people. The server was great however. He was friendly, helpful, and patient. This was a welcome surprise because we were not confident about our choice to eat here after seeing the state of the restaurant. The food was okay but better than we were expecting. The portions were a little stingy and the ranch dressing was watery. One poor girl was trying to clean up but it was just get and it server though we saw plenty of people going into the back. You could tell she was bothered by it but I would be too. Some Items were missing but we were just happy to have food at this point. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience but it's like ownership...
