Oasis Root isn’t just another kava bar—it’s the blueprint for what every kava spot should aspire to be. Eight years deep and still running circles around the competition, this place strips away the fluff and zeroes in on what really matters: one perfect tea, one stellar kava, and an obsession with serving you lightning-fast. No gimmicks, no Instagram props, no ten-minute wait while your kavatender chitchats—just pure, unadulterated kava bliss.
Jim opened Oasis Root because he wanted a kava bar built around you. Walk in, and that focus hits you like a power surge: your drink’s in hand before you’ve fully exhaled. Quality? Off the charts. Their kava and kratom taste so clean you’d swear it’s from another dimension, and even the coffee is shockingly divine—because when you nail the essentials, everything else falls into place.
Here’s the kicker: they’ve got zero social media footprint, yet every night this joint is packed shoulder-to-shoulder with regulars and first-timers alike. The vibe is effortlessly warm—folks chat you up, share seats, welcome you in like you’ve been part of the crew forever. The kavatenders—fast, friendly, on-point—mirror the energy Jim and his team bring. You don’t just leave with a buzz; you leave with new friends.
Honestly, with service this flawless and a reputation that spreads by word of mouth alone, Oasis Root doesn’t need any social media noise—they’ve already won. To Jim, Kyle, Brysen, and the whole Oasis Root family: you’ve built something legendary. I’ll be back—and...
Read moreAfter looking at the other reviews for this place, I was disappointed that I did not have the same experience. While waiting outside (because of the pandemic) for my pet to be treated at the vet next door, I was in search of an escape from the 105 degree heat index. I went to Oasis and asked for a good iced drink. The only option I was given by the man behind the bar was a bottle of Kombucha tea. I bought it and tipped the girl at the counter. My vet was looking for me and came in to discuss my pet’s condition. We decided to stay inside, since it was much cooler. We were both wearing masks. The man behind the bar commented we needed to move away from the door because he did not want a code violation for blocking it. Mind you, no one was coming in or out and the place was nowhere near crowded. We moved to the side and continued talking. The next thing I knew was the loud music that all of a sudden began playing. We continued speaking and the music got gradually louder until we could not hear ourselves and had to leave. The employee playing the music was being intentionally rude and trying to get us to leave for no good reason as I had made a purchase and was not obstructing business. They were also hesitant about letting me use the restroom initially, so I had to go back and ask the vet if I could come inside. The point is that this is no way to treat people and unfortunately my first visit to Oasis...
Read moreI stopped here midday while my car was being worked on nearby and I do come here periodically from time to time. I ordered a tea and was drinking it slowly as I worked. I was sitting down for at most 1.5 hours. During the last 30 minutes, I was on a conference call (using headphones). I was mostly listening and trying to not be loud when I did talk (I try to be aware of my surroundings in general). During the conclusion of my call, while I was directly being asked questions that I needed to respond to, the server comes over, I believe to ask me if I wanted another drink. I may have been a little short in my wave off of him, but I was in the middle of a call. He was immediately pissed and retreated behind the bar. My call concluded a few minutes later, and I approached the bar to apologize and ask what I could do for him. He told me to just get out and never come back again. I tried to explain that he caught me in a busy moment, i apologized again, but he wanted no part of it and told me to leave. He wouldn't even turn his back deliberately to not talk face to face to me. Maybe he was just having a bad day and took it out on me, but that reaction was excessive and...
