I've always been so welcomed by every server in every starbucks I've ever had the pleasure to enter, until today. I was bringing my grandpa who just recently came to visit North Carolina and who is an avid coffee connoisseur and gold card member, to the Bayfield Pkwy location in Concord NC. We were first in line and Courtney was the waitress who was then involved with an obviously very important conversation about whether you can where a nose ring to work with her other employees (I say important very sarcastically). My Grandpa jokingly said "Are you gonna' wait on us" and she looked at my grandpa like he had said something out of her comprehension and she snapped back "I Am!" My grandpa looked at me with a smirk, and we both knew there would be no more joking around with miss Courtney. She continued to just stare at us, I assume waiting for our orders, I'm not quite sure. My grandpa was politely waiting for me to order first and told me "No, you go ahead kiddo I'm just getting a plain coffee" So before I could get the word Pumpkin out of my mouth, the waitress with an attitude exclaimed "What size?!" My grandpa said "uhh, a grande" and I said "I'll take a pumpkin spice latte extra pumpkin." My grandpa handed his fancy starbucks card to Courtney and said "Make sure hers is free" and she said "Well, um do you have any free drinks on your card" and my grandpa obviously already sick of this ladies attitude replied "Yeah I should have 2 or 3, I think you should be able to see" and she said "Yeah I know"... Okay miss Courtney, then please tell me what the purpose of asking was, when he was just trying to be nice to me? I'm not one to complain as I myself have been in the service industry and retail industry and I know how frustrating people can be, but in no means at all were we being frustrating. Granted, yes I did begin to develop a small attitude but how can I not, when I'm so used to happy happy at Starbucks and what I got was.. well ..Courtney. I kindly asked for the manager who wasn't there so she gave me her card, with the wowing attitude she had continued to uphold through this entire transaction, and I then had had enough and said some snarky remark like "Thank you, I'll be calling to complain about how rude you were to my grandfather" and here I am 10 minutes after still very upset by Courtney. Like I said I am not one to complain and for me to actually take the time to write this out I'm obviously very troubled by...
Read morePart of me wants to put a two star but I’m going to put a three because this is my first time here and maybe it’s not always like this (today). The younger lady making the drinks for drive-through and ordering online, was making no attempts for urgency with getting drinks out. I didn’t see her name, but she had the middle of her nose pierced, and she had on glasses and that’s the only way I know to describe her other than being Caucasian. I waited quite a while before I stepped up and asked where my order was in the queue, and she said that it was next. But then when she gave me my drink, she kind of slid across the counter and just walked off. So I said “thank you and have a good day” and she kind of shot back around and was like “ok, you too, drive safe and all that stuff.” But it was said as if she felt forced to say it. Hey, customer service is not for everybody but you do have to be nice to the customers. But the part that makes me frustrated is that she had no urgency whatsoever in making drinks. It took me almost 10 minutes to get mine, and I could see that she had a line of stickers above the machine where she was making drinks which means she needed to kick it up a notch because obviously they were busy. Maybe she’s got something going on in her life and I try to be empathetic to that, but she was in no hurry at all. And then it would be helpful if the lids actually fit the cups because I got in my car and wound up spilling a portion of my macchiato and my brand new vehicle. I’m not overly upset about that but it is a bit annoying. Attention to detail is crucial in customer service. Please address this with this young lady, and hopefully she can improve...
Read moreToday I visited this location and received horrible, offensive imprudent service. This complaint is directed towards the service I received from the store manager herself, Suzy Nevins who took my order. The store manager was rude, passive aggressive, sarcastic and at times demeaning towards me. I would proceed to say something, she would repeat it and look at me like I was an idiot. She told me to speak slower and slow down (even though I wasn't speaking fast). At one point during the order, I actually asked her if something I said offended her because she was incredibly rude to me. After I placed the order from her I received several rude glares from her behind the counter and what may have appeared to be her gossiping to other employees about it. I can't fathom her being a position of leadership, it's abundantly clear the negative ambience she has created in the store in comparison to other positive upbeat Starbucks in the area. Towards the end of my visit I told her how offended and displeased I was with the way she treated me and all she said was "I'm sorry you feel that way," then walked away. This is probably the worst Starbucks I have even been to, and to receive poor treatment from store manager nonetheless is absolutely pitiful. The way she made eye contact, the tone of her voice and the level of sheer disrespect illustrates poor customer service skills. I have forwarded complaint to corporate and district manager of Starbucks, awaiting...
