I went to Wendy’s at 1106 S Cannon Ave. Kannapolis NC, I have visited this restaurant several times before. Often my food was cold. I put up with it because the store is close to my home. It was convenient. This time, my food was exceptionally cold, so I left my home got into my car, and drove back to the restaurant where I purchased my food. I went inside, and asked to speak to the manager. Her name was Lee. I told her, my food was cold and that I have frequented this restaurant several times in the past, more times than not, my food was cold, tonight. I decided to say something. I was very nice, and just simply stated the truth. I did not raise my voice, or use a rude tone. The manager identifying herself as Lee, she did not offer a last name, or a apology, she simply turned to another employee, who later identified himself as John Stevens the third, to make me another sandwich. While I stood there in the restaurant waiting for my sandwich, another person came in. She complained to Lee her sandwich was pink in the middle. Lee apologized to this customer, not once but twice. Lee was very responsive to this lady. I could not help but wonder why I was treated so differently, and was not offered an apology, as I was just as courteous as she. I thought to myself could it have been because I was Black and the other customer was white, a scenario I have experienced many times. I decided to ask her why she did not offer me an apology as well. She offered no explanation, however she then and only then apologized, but it seemed nothing like the apology I heard her give to the white lady who brought her sandwich back with complaints about how it was made. I wondered could it be because I was black. I realize sometimes people are more responsive to things and people that are familiar, however in bussiness it’s about customers. I need for this company to remind their employees that it is important to treat everyone as an equal. In business we all are spending our hard earned money the same. I would also like to give special thanks to John Stevens the third, for his outstanding customer service. I am told there are two John Stevens at this store, it is John Stevens the third whom stepped up, and was very courteous. He made sure I got...
Read moreThis was hands-down, THE single most awful experience I've ever had with customer service, anywhere, ever. I ordered online and was late picking it up because I went to the wrong location. I got there, and there were at least 5 employees I could see, and no one even bothered to look up at me. I looked around for the mobile pickup area, and noticed it was behind the counter. Since it was already paid for, and I was 15min late, I assumed it would be ready, so I spoke up and said "I'm just here to pick up a mobile order." Two people looked at me, and with an attitude, said, "we will be with you in a moment." A few minutes later, I noticed the young man at the counter mentioned my order by saying my initials. He said to another coworker "im working on AS, but SP is done." I knew he was talk8ng about my order because the initials of the card I used were SP. So I spoke up. I said SP is me, that's my order. He looked at me and acknowledged me but made zero effort to do anything to help me. I stood there for 15min while he helped this cute girl who he had more in common with, and continued to ignore my existence. Finally, I said "is my order not complete at all? Is there any of it that I could have? Is any of it ready?" He said "oh, it's ready," grabbed a bag on the shelf, and handed it to me. He said my drinks were on the counter. These had been sitting on the counter the entire time I had been waiting. I asked him "you couldn't just hand me the bag and tell me that these are my drinks?" He said, "oh, I just got those." This was a blatant lie. I had been standing there watching the whole time, the drinks had been sitting there almost as long as I had. I told him, "I have been standing quietly and patiently, not causing any problems, why couldn't you just hand me my food?" He had no response. Not only was the service by-far THE worst service imaginable, but I was missing half my order! Never again. DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION. IT IS ATROCIOUS. I am a nurse and I devote my life to helping all kinds of people. I would never dream of treating ANYBODY this way, especially for no reason. Completely...
Read moreThis is in regard to the Wendys on Cannon Blvd. I have never been so mishandled by an employee and then the manager Jawana. First off the young lady at the drive thru was so unprofessional, she takes my card for payment, shuts the drive thru window and walks off. My question is what is she doing with my card, do I need to watch out for unauthorized charges on my card now? When she finally returns she hands me this greasy bag and begins laughing in my face. What have they done to my food? I call the store to make a complaint and the manager is just as rude, giving me some stupid explanation that they always shut the window once they take a card because their machine is slow. She then asks me very condescending so what may I do for you. I said not a thing for me, I won’t ever come back to their store but she needs to talk with her employee. She again very indifferent I’m going to ask you again what can I do for you. Again I say talk to your employee. I end up hanging up on this woman who is supposed to be taking care of the situation only to make me feel as though I was the one in the wrong. Ridiculous I should have checked their reviews before ordering. If this is how they handle people that keep their lights on and pay their salaries they should close their doors permanently! I will NEVER spend another penny...
