Probably a decent starting point for Bud Light drinkers leaping into the world of craft beer. Decent, definitely not great. Our second visit found the place full of hipsters in plaid flannel and rolled up jeans looking like a lumberjack convention, and the staff was pretty rude and we waited quite long before getting any attention. Finally, the beertender asked me "what do you want?" And his tone prompted me to answer, "I want to be somewhere else." Since we had just been next door to the much superior Double Shift, we walked a block to the excellent Brewery Emperial for our first of many visits since, and ended up finishing the night with a walk to my favorite,Torn Label. With three excellent and clearly superior brewers within a short walking distance , Border better step...
Read moreBorder Brewing is such a great spot to grab a locally brewed beer! From the handmade wood with lights overhanging the bar, to the brick wall all put in place by hand and potted plants hanging by the window, this place is seriously so homey and unique inside. The flavors at Border Brewing are one of a kind that you cannot find anywhere else! We had the strawberry blonde ale, the shiftie IPA, and the campfire. Jessica is just one of the managers working here who helped us tonight and she's an absolute pleasure to talk to. She really knows the history as well as the owner Eric and takes care of the guests like you're a friend. The staff are all friendly and inviting so you're at home as soon as you walk in. Thank you so much for the pleasant experience and for brewing great...

It has a flavor I haven't experienced elsewhere. My one complaint is about the redecorating they completed earlier this year. The interior used to have a nice urban vibe that really fit the surroundings. Now one wall has been refinished with a faux brick surface that looks kind of cheap and generic, and more so because the surface is a little too well-lit with a new bank of lights at the top. It looks more like something in an Olathe Subway than in a cool...
