I can’t believe I waited this long to finally try Elephant Wings! I first discovered them over a year ago at a taco competition where the owner won — and rightfully so, because that taco was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Fast forward to today: I grabbed a late lunch to-go and WOW. Why did I wait so long?!
I had my eye on the Butter Chicken, but decided to ask the guy working the counter what his favorite was. Without hesitation, he recommended the Bahn Mi with rice, so I went for it — and of course, added a side of naan because… how do you not order fresh warm naan? 🤤
The food was incredible. Everything tasted insanely fresh — the tender chicken, the perfect balance of sauce, the crisp homemade cucumbers and jalapeños. It was flavorful, comforting, and just plain delicious. The staff was also super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better.
I’m officially obsessed and will 100% be back to work my way through the entire menu. Do yourself a favor — don’t wait as...
Read moreWe ordered the tandoori fries, samosas, butter chicken, and yellow thrasher curry with beef—and let me just say, I did not expect to find Indian food this exceptional in KC. What a revelation!
The samosas, paired with their house-made sauce, completely redefined my expectations. I’d always thought samosas were just okay, but this place changed my mind forever. Crisp, perfectly spiced, and downright addictive—absolute perfection.
And the yellow thrasher curry? Easily the best yellow curry of my life. Each bite was a masterful balance of flavors, leaving me wishing I had room for more. The butter chicken and tandoori fries were equally impressive, showcasing a thoughtful approach to bold, authentic flavors with a modern twist.
The presentation was stunning, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the bar delivered fantastic drinks that paired beautifully with the meal.
I came to KC expecting to be fed — I definitely didn't expect to fall in love....

The Green Shrimp Coconut Curry was the first thing I tried. WOW, WOW, WOW I had to set my fork down and take my time eating the shrimp because I didn’t want the explosion of flavors to end. SO. FREAKING. GOOD! (Be sure to add extra shrimp to your order. You will thank me later!)
The Tandoori fries were equally as spectacular. I told the owner he needed to bottle and sell his special seasoning and the dipping sauce. I’d be the first in line to purchase it!
Yesterday I was able to try the Unholy Cow on a gluten free rice wrap. GOOD GOLLY!! It’s ridiculously good. The beef was melt in your mouth tender and the sauces were perfection.
All food should be this good and evoke feelings of gratification and joy.
I look forward to trying everything on the menu. I have a feeling everything is going to be my favorite!
The only negative I have to say is in regards to me and my failure in waiting so...
