I don't leave reviews often but I was pretty disappointed by this place so I wanted to let people know what to expect.
Firstly, we walked in and the place was messy and disorganized which I could have easily looked past normally but its worth noting considering the other issues I had. It honestly felt like I walked into someone's house who wasn't expecting company.
My biggest issue is the lack of variety in things to break. Other rage rooms typically offer a mix of furniture, old TVs, or other larger items to break but we had 95% beer bottles in our two large bags with a few plates and wine bottles. Breaking a few beer bottles is fun but 20-25 is just repetitive and boring. The lack of variety in items to break was made worse since the tools offered to break them were pretty limited and repetitive as well. Since the variety was low we were in and out in 17 minutes and we weren't rushing. That includes instructions before and a minute or two of talking afterwards. For $100 for two people it almost felt like a joke how quick we were done and how uninteresting the items to break were.
Finally the safety gear was highly insufficient. We were only offered glasses, crappy masks that just covered your mouth, and gloves. We opted for covid masks to avoid wearing unsanitary masks worn by who knows how many people. Face shields or paintball style masks should be an option as they are more sanitary and offer better protection. It looks like maybe they offered jumpsuits in the past but we certainly weren't given any. This lead to my partner getting glass in their clothes multiple times while we were there and when I got home I felt a sharp pain in my heel and discovered that multiple glass shards had found their way into my shoes and cut me.
Maybe I had too high of expectations but overall it was a big waste of money and hugely disappointing from what I expected from a rage room. I do not recommend this...
Read moreThis place was a blast! I came here during a short trip to KC and I was able to book a visit hours in advance. The website and pricing were straightforward, and it was easy to extend my time while I was there.
The staff was super helpful and friendly, and they explained everything clearly. They provide jumpsuits and protective gear (metal mesh mask and thick gloves), which are included in the price. TIP: you will work up a sweat and leave with your shirt drenched (and you won't even notice as it happens), so dress accordingly. The protective attire is a must, and even still a piece of ceramic left a little hole in my personal shirt (a souvenir!).
The assortment of tools is generous and includes a baseball bat, crowbar, mallet, golf club, plus others. The time is generous, and it's easy to add more time to your tab. The basic package is mostly glass bottles, etc., whereas the premium package features that plus plates, mugs, and knick-knacks.
THE BEST PART is that YOU CAN SELECT YOUR OWN MUSIC via the Bluetooth speaker - either through your own phone, or Alexa within the speaker. Alexa is the better options since it allows you to focus on wrecking stuff. You can seriously get crunk.
Rage KC! was excellent value for the money, honestly run, and incredibly fun. I highly...
Read more10/10 RECOMMEND!!!! My little brother un-alived himself 3 years ago. My birthday is the one day a year I used to be guaranteed a call from him. This morning I was all up in my feels, and told my husband he was gonna go with me to smash some s*. If you're feeling down, or just want to cuss, scream, be angry at WHATEVER.... this is the safe place to do so! I feel like this is the healthiest thing I've done in a long time, and I'm so grateful for their hospitality too! They made us feel safe, comfortable, clean, and I'm an introvert who doesn't do well with new experiences. I want to THANK Rage KC for being a safe place for me to let go and just BE ANGRY FOR A MIN WITHOUT JUDGEMENT! They also made me feel special with plates that celebrated me, and showed that they cared; nice touch! I've already told all my local friends about it, and plan to be back every...
