Love, Love, Love this place! We had a party of 9 people come in on a Saturday afternoon for my husband’s birthday (everything was reserved beforehand and I would recommend doing this if you want to do the VR stuff). We did 2 escape rooms (half of our party in one and half in another) and then 2 hours of the Arcade lane and then we had dinner in a few booths afterwards. Service was amazing! I called the day before to see if I could add more people to one of the escape rooms since we had more end up coming. They accommodated it and let me just pay the difference at the reservation time. We had so many people helping and checking in on us and they were switching our tab over to wherever we went (we still let them know when we changed areas) making it easy for us to just enjoy the whole experience. Atmosphere is very upbeat! There was never a dull moment in the place during the 5 hours we were there. It felt like one big party! Only minor issue we had was that the KC current game was extremely loud during our escape room time but that was more on our bad timing with scheduling it as they had promos going for the game and that was their big feature of the day. (So I would plan around that in the future!) they did even turn it down a little when we asked too so that was nice! The food was good! The meals were BIG. You definitely get your moneys worth and they don’t over charge in my opinion and they have good deals and promotions all the time. We had the KC cheese steak, Quesadillas, Burgers, and even some appetizers and it was all good! I would suggest maybe switching to a better queso for the apps as that did cool off and harden very quickly but the guacamole was awesome and the pretzel bites were really good! The drinks were great too! We had quite a few of their cocktail drinks and beer and we loved all of them! Another compliment to their service was that they got all of our stuff out to us soooo quickly! Lastly, the owner, Terry, was amazing! He is so approachable and socialable with the guests and was constantly checking up on us and making sure we were taken care of. He is a workhorse too. He was constantly moving around the floor, helping out, and chatting with guests. I can’t wait to come back for some of the theme nights they have (Bingo, karaoke, Trivia, Taco Tuesday, etc). There is something going almost every night! We will...
Read moreThere is no debate that this is a bar. Yes, there are a handful of games, but at its core it is a bar. They serve bar food and most of the main floor is taken by the bar. They do have events as well, but they are geared toward adults. When we were there it was for what I thought would be video trivia; however, it was definitely geared toward adults and was not trivia, It was random silly questions and the participants were encouraged to be "funny and creative" with their answers, which resulted in many inappropriate responses. On top of that, someone had a child there. In a bar. Not that they are responsible for the child since they state "families" can go there in the description, but I would never ever consider bring a child to this establishment.
The food was pretty good for bar food, but the service left something to be desired. Before the "trivia" game began, service was not bad; however, once it began, the waitress was more interested in the game and hanging out with the couple who brought their 6 year old in than actually doing her job. I attempted several times to get her attention, then finally had to walk over to the bar myself and ask for my burger (made incorrectly) to get fixed. She did jump up and meet me at the bar when she saw me walk over, not that it helped any since I already made the trip over there. I also had to go to the bar myself to get a drink refill after that. In total I had to go to the bar myself 3 times once the game started because the "waitress" ignored us. I won't be going back. I only gave 3 stars because (once they made it correctly) the burger and fries...

I went in to this establishment today asking for help with calling a cab because i had gotten turned around on the buses and didnt know where i was or how to get back to my hotel room. My phone had died and Not being from Kansas City that is very easily done. The bartender that i initially asked was sweet and tried her best to assist me by getting what i am to assume was management. Thats where all politeness and human courtesy comes to a SCREACHING halt!! I was treated like a non human who was beneath them and was quickly ushered out the door with no assitance. To top it all off when i tried to ask a patron that was out on their patio for directions they came running out the door like the fire brigade and shooed me away! Is this how businessman and women in Kansas City treat everyone who is lost and just needs someone to call them a cab? if so then How in the world do we have so many tourists and visitors? I really dont understand what the issue was with helping me get a cab back to my room, I wasnt asking for money, food, or anything that would have cost them of monetary value, just the common decency to help a potential patron return home. After the way I was treated i will never darken their doorstep nor would i reckomend anyone else to do so as well! I would like an apology for i was treated rudely for asking for help but that will probaly never happpen. Leroy E....
