Let me get one thing straight… these are by far the best oxtail I have had… when people come in from out of town this is one of the places I show off… however no matter how good they are I will never be disrespected… I came down to get some oxtail as I do often and I stay quite a ways away…. I had a guess with me and I order our food get back to the house and start eating them by the way my one year old love them too lol ( but he started hollering when he grab one) however they were so spicy that I called them and told the lady my problem that I thought someone made a mistake and dumped red pepper in them and she was very understanding and said some people want them spicy and my order could have got mixed up with another order… she said I can give you a refund and I said oh no I’ll bring these back and get a new order and she said no we can’t take food back just come sometime today and we will make you another order she got my name and we said bye…. My daughter get off work and I tell her to stop by and pick up my and my guess food… she get there and another lady went off and told get the other food and bring it back and my daughter got me on the phone and seriously the lady was acting as though we was robbing her for food and then my daughter said momma get the food ready I’m going to bring it back and the lady said I’ll call her she didn’t tell you that so she called the lady after she kept disrespecting my daughter as a liar and the lady told her we was right and she wrote it down but the lady refused but a man came to the window and told my daughter they going to give her the order because the lady said she did say that… but because of their error and The blatantly disrespect that the lady was given this will never happen to us again because we will never be back. Prices is way too high to be treating your customers...

I bought the stewed chicken (it came w/cabbage and rice & peas), plantain, beef patty, and pineapple-ginger juice. The juice is FIRE! Best part of the meal. The chicken was fall-off-the-bone moist and flavorful. Rice & peas had a great savory flavor but they were also watery at the same time. The plantains were ok, I've had better...might've been cooked in old oil or simply overcooked. The cabbage was mushy, but the flavor was good. The beef patty was the most disappointing. I have high expectation for beef patties because I've had some really good ones in this city! Something is really off about the flavor and I wish I knew what it was. There were also lots of bits of cartilage in there that werent perfectly ground up so there were hard & unchewable pieces I kept picking out of my mouth. Service was alright, nothing of note. There isn't a lot of seating room...4...

The Curry Chicken and Jerk Chicken dinners are both very good, the fried plantains and vegetarian selections were enjoyed my my friend. Lunch specials such as the beef or chicken wrap are HUGE portions for the money and tasty. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that it can be a bit difficult to order since they play music behind the counter a bit loud so customers can hear but it makes things hard to tell someone what you would like to eat. Sometimes I have to repeat myself several times before they understand but they are always nice, food is good and the portions are large.
