I stayed at their Peppercorn property for over a month. The home itself is beautifully decorated with nice furniture and appliances; it’s clear effort went into making the home look appealing.
Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by serious safety concerns. While there was outdoor motion sensor lighting and door locks, there were no cameras or other real security features. The area had constant foot traffic from questionable individuals, and despite me emphasizing safety as a top priority before booking, this property was not safe.
The house was broken into with the front door being forced open, and I lost several valuable items. After this, they simply sent a maintenance person to fix the door and put the property back up as available within a few days. They offered me a different place to stay for just the night of the break in, but I refused after looking at it's location. I ended up having to end my stay early and was told I’d be refunded for the unused portion. What I received was far less than what was fair, and I was ultimately told they wouldn’t issue any additional refund, despite multiple attempts to resolve it.
Overall, I found the company to be very transactional—more focused on securing and keeping bookings than on providing a safe, quality experience or offering meaningful customer support when things go wrong.
The house may look great, but if safety matters to you, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. I can’t speak for their other properties, but I would carefully check location and security features...
Read moreBeware!! We booked the Hyde park rental and upon arrival, the place was not ready for us. It was not cleaned, food in the kitchen, dishes in the sink, beds unmade, bathrooms a mess, although the code was given to me. So disappointing! When I called Desmond, or whoever answered the phone, the conversation was one of surprise, “oh no” I was told, “I’ll give you a 100.00 refund,” I was told, “I’m sorry,” BUT there was no resolution. No, suggestion of what they would do to fix the problem. There were 5 of us staying there & after that poor response we thought they can not be trusted. It took us hours to find another place to stay, as we were all from different parts of the U.S. I did get an email from them telling me I would be refunded my money, minus the credit card fee. What kind of business is this?? I did get all my money back eventually. I had to dispute my credit card purchase. These people are irresponsible and untrustworthy, and offered us NO solution or help. Find another place to stay. You’ll be much happier. Oh, and I did email Kristen about all this and there was NO response from her - which is another reason to stay away from this rental business. Poor business practices....
Read moreI’ve stayed with Cozy in KC several times now, and it’s always such a great experience! They make the whole process so laid-back and easy—it’s always a stress free experience.
The staff is always super friendly and always willing to answer any questions, which makes booking even more easy! I love that their rentals are in great locations, but what really keeps me coming back are the awesome amenities. From garages and easy door code access to coffee machines, smart TVs, balconies, and more—they think of everything to make the stay comfortable and convenient!
If you’re heading to Kansas City, I can’t recommend Cozy in KC enough! They’ve made my trips so enjoyable, and I’ll definitely be booking...
