I have been sitting on whether I should write this review however, it's now been a few days and my experience there this last Monday evening I still resonates with immense disappointment. My girlfriend and I came in to dine with you this last Monday at around 6:30pm. We were both looking forward to this experience because our last visit was outstanding in food and service. Since we are both in the restaurant industry and have to work all weekend for Valentine's, this was supposed to be our Valentine's dinner. However, I truly wished I would of picked a different establishment after our experience. The restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived with only a handful of tables being occupied with guests. Morgan G was our server, although I feel like that is an exaggeration based on the efforts she gave to ensure we had a good experience. Her initial greeting was matter of fact and almost as if she was annoyed to have a table. We ordered hot sake and a bottle of wine to start. She proceeded to drop them off at table and walked away without any acknowledgement. I had to open our own bottle of wine and pour it off for us. Then before ordering food, we watched 2 plates fall off the stack of clean plates in the server alley. Of which Morgan picked them up off the floor and put them back on the stack of clean plates (even after one of the sushi chefs asked her if she was really going to do that). She never came back to ask how our food was or if we needed anything else upon the foods arrival. I had to go up to the sushi chef to get a side of eel sauce because she was nowhere to be found except while she was grabbing her vape and what I assume was closing sidework 2 hours before you close. I could keep going with the issues we experienced, but I feel my point has been made. This was one of our favorite spots to dine on our date nights, however we both are so discouraged and disappointed i don't know if we will come back to give it another shot anytime in the near future. The next time I am looking to spend $150+ on a dinner, I will go somewhere we feel welcome and appreciated for choosing...
Read moreUpon arrival, we waited over 10 minutes for someone, anyone, to seat us. However there were no employees in sight. My friend peeked around the corner looking for someone, only to find an employee sitting at a table on her phone hiding out of sight behind the wall that blocks the bar area from the back of the restaurant. She joined me back up front and we continued to wait as two more parties joined us in waiting for seating. Once someone finally came to seat us, we were handed dilapidated menus one falling apart at the seams, and the other missing a page. My brewed tea was awful, it was lime green and cloudy, like they used a teaspoon of bad matcha, and served in a dirty pot with a cracked mug. We ordered appetizers, but only one came out before our meals, arrived. We had to inquire about the other well after our meal arrived, and the server responded with "its probably on the line somewhere" and disappeared for a good 15 minutes. My friends tuna was so bad she couldn't even swallow the first bite she took and had to send it back. The server looked apologetic, but not at all surprised, huge red flag. By the time the missing appetizer came out, we had both had 2-3 pieces of our rolls before abandoning those too. Her miso soup and my salad never came out so we had to ask for those as well. They eventually arrived and were so tasteless they were not worth eating. The tuna on one roll was grey, when fresh tuna should be a deep pink. Everything smelled old and fishy, there were gnats all over and it was a struggle to keep them off the food before we gave up. Overall we both spent $50 for bad service and worse food, then left hungry. I advise people steer clear of this place as we are both violently ill even though we barely ate. Safe to say we will not...
Read moreThe location is beautiful and classy, but welcoming. Service was prompt and attentive. I had very little experience with sushi, so wasn't sure what to expect, but the staff was very helpful with recommendations. I went with my brother and his wife, so between the three of us we had a pretty good mix of rolls to try. The first thing you notice off the bat is that the presentation is outstanding. Each roll is like a little work of art. It really enhances the experience you get when every dish is crafted by artisans. And I was also surprised by the size of the portions. My previous experience with sushi (at another restaurant) tasted great, but the sushi rolls were smaller. Prime Sushi was more expensive than that other place, so at first I was worried. But then I saw the presentation and size of the portions, and realized it's definitely worth it. Of course, none of that matters compared to the flavor. The fish is very fresh, and the flavors are well-composed. It was delicious. I highly recommend the Mango Cha Cha Roll. That was my favorite. There was only one roll I didn't really care for, though my brother and sister-in-law both enjoyed it. I think I didn't like it because of the Masago (roe). It gave it a little more fishy flavor than I was into. But that was just down to personal preference. All in all, this was a fantastic experience I'd definitely do again, especially since their menu is extensive, and there were a ton of things I still want to try. I highly recommend...
