Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Kansas City

Ordered two things of chicken bites and one order of mozzarella sticks with marinara and when I got home I realized they forgot my mozzarella sticks, but gave me the marinara ? I drove all the way back and when I pulled up to the window the girl with the face tat was immediately rude and had an attitude. I nicely explained that I didn’t receive my mozzarella sticks and she interrupted and me and questioned if I had a receipt like I was lying. I handed her over the bag with the receipt still stapled to the bag and she got her manager who somehow was even ruder. Before the manager came to the window, all the workers gathered together and stared at me while simultaneously talking about me… erm hello? He asked me what the issue was and I explained again. He asked me if I wanted my chicken that was still in the bag and I said “they’re cold now since I drove all the way home and then back here” and he said “do you want them or not” at that point I was very upset so I just replied “I’ll give them to my dog.” I thought for the inconvenience I could possibly get new chicken. The manager then turned away and slammed the bag with the chicken in it into the trash. After a few minutes, the manager gave me mozzarella sticks. I gained my missing mozzarella sticks but lost two things of chicken… make that make sense. I also tipped $2 on this order, and the total was only $8. Even if you ask for fresh french fries you get the worst stale pathetic horrible fries ever. This place screws everything up...waste of money. Been going here giving second chances too many times - I' done! The fries ALWAYS taste like old grease - which they cook the chicken in too. This location is always understaffed and the food is always terrible. Tonight again I'm the ONLY car in the drive through. I request fresh fries and a burger. I hear the young gal tell the cook I want fresh fries..I figure all is ok and I drive off to find the fries were old stale fries they either microwaved or threw back in the grease - it 's inedible. Again - I have gone to this location many times as I live a few blocks away. They cannot get it right. There are always new kids working here cuz I guess they don't pay a living wage. The only reason I don't call or go back and complain is cuz there isn't a real manager ever..just some poor kid that's unlucky enough to work in this slumlord dog food dumpster. This place is also an eyesore and I wish they'd tear it down and put back the little patch of land that was there before this trash dump was ever built.As for the "owner " that is responding to these comments - you are never there, you are a slumlord, you have no ethics and don't even tell me you have high standards cuz I'm a witness to this dump many times. This store clearly couldn't care less if their customers receive what they order, and are completely unwilling to make up for their own mistakes. I went in earlier tonight and ordered a bacon cheeseburger combo with no mayo and adding ketchup and mustard. After waiting for 10 mins for our order, when I finally got home I realized I just got a cheeseburger w/ nothing but ketchup and mustard, not even the bacon that they charge extra for, no lettuce tomato or anything else. I checked the receipt which clearly stated bacon cheeseburger no mayo add ketchup and mustard. I went back to the store and asked they make up for the mistake and was told I could wait while they made a replacement. They refused to compensate me in any way for going home and having to come back, and were instead indignant they did anything wrong despite what was on the receipt.

This was far from the first time I haven't received what I ordered at this location, however was the first time I went back to ask for compensation for their mistake. There should be no surprise this store regularly receives 1 star reviews.

I sincerely hope the corporate office of Sonic will hold the employees of this location accountable for their complete lack of accountability for their...
