Looking for fire tacos? Look no further than Taco Fuego! Finally a place that lives up to its name and reputation,Taco Fuego is top tier! Let's start with location, Taco Fuego has 5 locations to choose from. A mixture of store front and taco trucks. I decided to stop at their Katy location (taco truck) located at 1005 Katy fort bend road. This truck was very easy to find. My husband and I really wanted give this place a try for a couple reasons, 1. Every picture you see on IG makes your mouth water lol. 2. Their meat is fresh and locally sourced! The truck itself is nice, and clean. Also has a little Led sign that says catch tacos not feelings super cute for an IG photo. Service was quick, friendly and informative. We ordered a few different tacos to try: The Quesabirria Taco- Birria or chicken, cheese, limes, cilantro and pickled onions on a corn tortilla. This one was really good and it definitely has a bit of a kick. The meat is so flavorful you do not need to add any additional sauces. The Barbacoa Taco~ Beef Barbacoa, cilantro, onions and salsa verde on a corn tortilla. This one was in the top 2 for me. Yum!! That beef was cooked to perfection! The Texan Taco~ brisket, Monterey Jack cheese, corn, cilantro, pickled onions and creamy cilantro on a flour tortilla. My husband inhaled it. Lolol. I got a tiny bite and it was very good. All of the flavors worked together so well! The Shrimp Taco~ my absolute favorite! Fried Shrimp, Monterey Jack Cheese, Sour Cream and Cajun sauce on a flour tortilla. The shrimp was fire. Perfectly seasoned. I don't know what they put in that Cajun sauce but they need to bottle it so I can take it home! Other things to note: Everything is halal They offer a veggie taco option They offer more than tacos. Ex: Ramen, Burgers, pupusas, empanadas, flautas and tamales. Churros for dessert! Drinks include: Horchata, lemonade and Cantaloupe.

Y'all! These birria tacos are fire! (They definitely got the name right!) We swung by to in passing. We only stopped because there were so many cars there we knew it had to be good. We were not disappointed. I had two birria tacos and an order of churros. My daughter had the birria quesadilla. We each had some consume as well. Let's get into these tacos...the were hand sized and filled with meat, Oaxaca cheese, pickled red onions and cilantro. The consume was full of flavor and piping hot. It was a very nice compliment to the tacos and the quesadilla. I though the churros were delicious. They were cooked to a nice crisp with the right amount of cinnamon and sugar. They weren't doughy on the inside like others I have had. I will most definitely be returning and recommend you do your taste buds the honor of eating here!

Really disappointed with my experience this time at Taco Fuego! We love the Birria ramen and birria tacos but this time they just did not have the taste or quality they used to! The ramen was completely dry - just a tiny bit of soup at the bottom. And lacking the spice that it used to have. You couldn’t have it like a soup, more like stir fried ramen. The birria tacos were incredibly salty and mushy. Didn’t look like the tortillas were really warmed up/cripsed like usual. Steak tacos were ok. I don’t remember the steak being such huge pieces but maybe they were that way previously too. Asked for extra red and green sauce, was told they put a ton in the box. For 6 tacos and 2 birria ramen, they gave 1 green and 1 red…… Overall super disappointing experience. Don’t know if I’ll be going back.

I am very disappointed of Taco Fuegos. Every time I come to eat at this location, I travel at least 40 miles. In the past there were no problems, food was always excellent.

However I do not hold the same sentiment now. I ordered quesadillas and tacos (and more)… only for me to receive half of a spoon of meat in one taco, NO MEAT AT ALL in other tacos and a small spoon of meat in the last taco. I received more pieces of pink onions than the actual amount of meat + small amounts of cheese combined, and that is unsatisfactory.

As for the quesadillas, the size has decreased and each slice wasn’t nearly as full as they used to be. Taco Fuegos has finally earned the achievement of accomplishing orders without providing the bare minimum.

With prices going up for many food locations, I figured that Taco Fuegos would always be the place that is worth every dollar.

Now I regret spending my money there. With the amount of time I waited in the parking lot, they could’ve completed my orders in a decent manner. I will no longer support this location and I hope Taco Fuegos will reflect on the feedback I’ve provided and do better in the future.

Update: (April 17) I have emailed to the admin and I am still waiting on a reply or justification for the...

Hey guys, so I come to this taco truck all the time remind you this is my favorite taco truck in Katy. I usually come during the day & order W the same nice looking Mexican guy I forget his name, anyways it’s always a great experience when he’s there during the day. Last night 10/15/24 I decided to go to the taco truck to get some chicken ramen noodles, queso chips W the queso cheese, creamy cilantro dipping sauce & mini churros W the sweet dipping sauce. However my chips & churros were warm from sitting out nobody flagged me like usual to tell me my food was done, the ramen noodles broth was way spicier than last time! The guy that happened to be there last night wasn’t the same guy from during the day it was a different guy & he was rude, I had to ask for my pico de gallo because he lied & said it was in the bag & it wasn’t! Smh he gave me attitude when I asked for a fork for my ramen noodles! I was, so hungry I didn’t feel like asking them to remake my food. Not a great experience last night for almost...
