On September 19th, my friends and I visited All is Well Holistic Spa to celebrate a birthday. We were excited and looking forward to a relaxing day. While the massages and cupping services were excellent, the overall experience was overshadowed by the manager, Victoria, whose behavior was unprofessional, rude, and erratic toward both clients and her staff.
When I inquired about facials, Victoria abruptly yelled over me while addressing my friend about tipping. I calmly asked her to exhibit patience, only to be met with a condescending, âIâve been told that before, thank you for your feedback.â Things escalated again as we attempted to finalize payment. We explained that we wanted to tip in cash rather than on my friendâs card, but Victoria began yelling at us and even told her staff member Emma to âshut upâ and leave the desk area. This conduct was highly inappropriate, especially in front of paying clients.
Initially, I did not intend to leave a review since one of my friends already had. However, after the spaâs sales team followed up by email, I felt compelled. In that email, my name was specifically mentioned, and I was accused of being rude from the moment I walked inâdespite the fact that all of my friends witnessed Victoriaâs behavior. I was also the only African American in my group, which raises a disturbing question: is Victoria attempting to imply that I was the âangry Black womanâ who caused the commotion?
Accusing a client and even an employee of rudeness while excusing the managerâs repeated outbursts is unacceptable. Victoriaâs lack of self-control is the reason my group will not return, despite the quality of the services themselves. No one should support a business where the owner demeans her staff and treats clients disrespectfully.
I will also be sharing this experience with my social media following so others are aware. Sadly, All is Well Holistic Spa has lost loyal potential customers because of the actions of its own manager.
In Response to All Is Wellâs Reply:
Your facts are not aligned. Please review your cameras, as I am confident you have both audio and video recordings. Danielle was the one who suggested changing the method of payment by asking if I had cashâand it was absolutely her right to make that change. That should never have triggered the type of response we received from Victoria.
We were the clients, and Emma was NOT doing anything wrong to be told to âshut up and leave the front desk area.â At that time, Emma and I were simply discussing facials and my interest in returning for a future facial and massage.
Instead of taking responsibility, your response shows a complete disregard for your clients by presenting incorrect facts and then going so far as to email my friend accusing me of being rude. That accusation was made without doing the due diligence of confirming what actually happened.
A business that values its clients would be working to earn back trust, not dismiss it. The more concerning issue is that this seems to be an ongoing pattern, and it raises the question of how often you find yourself having to defend Victoriaâs erratic behavior. For the sake of your clients and your reputation, you should be considering leadership changes rather than excusing this...
Read moreVictoria the owner or manager of this place is crazy. First of all when you call you need to wait 4 minutes to get a real person to make an appointment. I had 2 massages, the first one she was having a meeting at the lobby and not taking care of business I had to wait like 15 minutes to be acknowledged. I called a few days latee to get a gift card and she told me I needed to drive there to get the gift card. I drove there by 8p and it was already closed when it clearly said they close at 9p. Second time of my massage appointmen I added hot stones like last time. When it was time to check out she was nowhere to be found I was waiting for about 45 minutes for her to charged me $15 and check me out. The staff ( which are very nice)were trying to check me out but they didn't have access to the computer. They both told me to leave and not to worried about it. She never showed up. I got a call this morning from her telling me that I owed her money and I needed to pay it right away. I tried to explain to her I was waiting for her for long time the day before and I couldn't go at that moment to make the $15 payment but I would be doing it the next day. She started yelling at me like a maniac that I should have paid the money if I got the $15 service. Just for the record I already paid over $450 for 2 massages with all the extra fees that suddenly appear and tips plus a gift card. Just go to massage Envy people don't waist your time there. Do not get yelled...
Read moreShockingly bad service. We made an appointment and paid a $50 deposit to lock in the reservation, providing our names & phone numbers & email addresses. We arrived 20 minutes early after driving all the way from Sugarland, but was told they had given our appointment to a walk-in. They just assumed that random couple was us. The person working the counter said to wait while she "worked her magic", and periodically told us to wait just a minute. We waited for 40 minutes, 20 minutes past our appointment time, before leaving and saying we didn't even want the massage anymore. It was clear they wanted to stall us until the other couple had finished their 60 minutes instead of accommodating us.
Just tell us you gave the room away and have us reschedule at a hefty discount instead of wasting our valuable time. They even checked our IDs and had us fill in a form to provide our names and other information. I have NO IDEA why they let some random people come in and take our appointment. Worse, they wasted our time rather than just being honest and providing a discount to reschedule. They provided a $30 gift card as an apology; thanks for a lame 15% discount that doesn't even cover the deposit.
Terrible when you're trying to relieve stress and then get handed a stressful situation. We're never...
