DO NOT COME! This is hands down the WORST experience I had on Kaua’i. The owner is a RACIST, period. We came here on July 4th cause not many stores open. We ordered 6dishes and 2 soups, when i ordered the food the Asian guy (idk if he’s the owner) already showed bad attitude, added wrong items to my order and when i pointed it out he made it like it’s my own mistake, being super impatient about my friends asking questions. Later a white guy started ordering and the owner’s attitude immediately became much better asking if everything alright and if the white guy needed anything. This already made me super uncomfortable. While we waiting for the order my friends went to ask some napkins to clean the table, the owner raised his voice with bad attitude asked ‘for what??!!’ He didn’t give us any napkins, my friends had to explain we just ordered, which is weird cause they were with me this entire time. He gave us a dirty table cloth. When we picked up the order, he gave us 2 spoons and couple forks. We asked 2 more spoons and maybe a few paper plates because we were a group of 4 and we traveled here so we didn’t have any utensils. He laughed at me and be like you ordered 2 soups I can only give you 2spoons. If you want more, it’s 25cents per spoon or paper plate, you ain’t get them free. I was shocked and almost laughed out loud cuz how ridiculous this is. I saw some other Asians posted reviews about this owner disrespected them, I want to post this that it’s not a one time case - this owners is a 100% racist despite himself being Asian. It is a shame. Kauai has been great until this. Also, food is bad, but at this point it’s not important.

My wife and I came to eat here before exploring the surrounding marketplace. We got the Szechuan green beans with chicken, drunken noodles with beef, and Thai tea. I usually get meat/rice dishes at Thai restaurants, but we decided to try something different with the green beans and actually enjoyed it a lot! Only a little spicy, and the green beans were firm with good bite to them. The drunken noodles were really good too, although not as spicy as I would have hoped for a 3/5. As far as seating, we ordered in advance to skip the line and just sat at the outdoor seating next to the restaurant. For the price, I think the portion sizes were reasonable, and would come here again!

Pad Thai dish is like boiled noodle. The noodle doesn’t seem like it was stir fried. The papaya salad is freaking too sweet and the sauce seem like pad Thai sauce. Asked for the papaya salad to be super spicy, but it was nothing spicy at all other than sweet. The pad see ew dish is like Chinese stir fried noodle. Seriously this place is not Thai food at all. Definitely a slap in the face to Thai people. Maybe some people like it. Just not my taste of food especially growing up eating Thai food and from Thailand.

reading the reviews before coming here made me skeptical. as the overall negative consensus was that the flavor was lacking in areas and others felt the employee at the front was rude/racist.

after continuing to try it out I am here to share!

My husband got the Tofu Pad Thai and I got the Veggie Low Mein. Flavors - Pad Thai was very flavorful, and though I’m not a big fan of Pad Thai, I felt it was one of the better ones I’ve tried. My husband is a Pad Thai snob and he loved it, he just wished there were bean sprouts. Lo Mein, It was good! Not blown out of the park amazing but also not so bad that I would feel the need to say there was “no flavor”. I did read somewhere that this restaurant does NOT use MSG, so maybe when ppl are so used to loads of MSG in this type of cuisine, it can taste as if this place “lacks in flavor”. Maybe we all keep that part in mind.

Portion Size: perfect amount, on the generous side

Atmosphere: outdoor seating only - most tables are covered overhead by the roof of an adjacent store or an umbrella.

Service: man at the counter was friendly, I can assume dealing with the amount of tourists he deals with on the daily…he may have some off days LIKE WE ALL DO. I watched all different people walk up to that counter and not one time did I feel he was rude/racists. Food came out quickly - 10ish minutes from ordering.

Overall great experience and great choice for some vegetarian/vegan food as it can be hard to...

Good place to eat. Price was okay, but qty was less as compared to the price. The food taste was though excellent. Loved this please. Went again to this place in the last day of our trip around 15 mins before they were closing. The staff initially told us that they can't prepare anything as the cook already left, but soon he changed and said he can though prepare but only the Thai Red, Yellow or Green curry and nothing else. We were little skeptical, but were hungry as well, hwmce we ordered for 2 Red Thai curry. It was nice of him to serve us, but the food turned out to be not tasty at all. It was lacking Red curry spice and was simply meh. I reduced 2 stars because of this experience. He still charged us in full for a compromised quality, remember this person is not cook. Ideally, he should have either warned us of the quality unless he thought Jr does make great Thai curries or should have discounted the price with caveat that it may not come out great and leave choice on us. I am appreciative of him as he did serve us, or else we would have gone to Pizza or dine...
