Went in and waited and waited at the counter. Three employees. One said, be right with you. No busy at all. She finished someone else’s drink orders and never came to the counter. Others were restocking boxes and merch. They all just ignored me and never came to the counter. So eventually I just put a mobile order in, but I usually find counter is faster than mobile if you literally walk in sometimes. Nope, mobile was done fast but she literally still never came over to the counter. The entire box of small straws was half soaked in liquid and you couldn’t open a single straw. Unhappiest employees at this location it seems. “Welcome in” drones at you and others that walk in. Ignore the counter customers. Kinda unreal. One of the worst Starbucks customer services I’ve ever experienced, as a regular Starbucks goer all over...
Read moreIt was a slow point in the day, and 7 of us walked in after the surf competition. We were their only customers, and I ordered iced upside down caramel macchiato. No seating was available inside, so I went outside, and when my nephew came with my coffee, it wasn't how I requested. I wasn't going to make a fuss because we had to head back to Lihue. The reason why I am giving it 2 stars is when we get to the car and I try my coffee, it tasted burnt. It had a harsh aftertaste, and it made me regret spending $6 on that coffee. The only thing that saved it was a salt packet from one of the plate lunch places we had leftover. Sprinkled some salt in there, and it took the bitterness away. I paid $6 for burnt bean water....please do better. Your coffee...
Read moreSmall Starbucks without inside seating. They had mobile ordering turned off which may account for why there were so many people waiting to order. Luckily the line moved fast.
Store mural is pretty and their one bathroom was clean.
I've seen complaints on here that the open hours are too short. The store isn't open as long as your local Starbucks because people can't afford to live on the island while working these jobs. Want businesses to be open longer, stop utilizing Airbnb and VRBO that is taking away housing from people who work service jobs. Could you live in a place with $10 gallons of milk and $6 gallons of gas on $13 an hour wage as a barista? This isn't rocket science why they're closed early.
