Stopped in 10/20/19 about 11am for coffee and food. From the moment we walked in the door the barista was not friendly. She acted like we were an inconvenience to whatever she was doing on her phone when we walked in. No greeting no smile even though we were friendly and pleasent. She scowled and tapped her fingers on the counter as we decided our breakfast. With bagels as the main option, its not like it took a long time for us to decide. My husband inquired about her having the Lox available and she growled that she had it. She slammed our coffees at us without stirring them. Then mumbled it would be a few for our sandwiches. 2 other customers came in as we were waiting for our food, she was polite to them because she knew them by name.when we recieved our bagles, they were burnt and she told my husband the lox was unavailable because it was still frozen so she handed him a bagle with just cream cheese and gave us a refund for the lox. The coffee itself tasted good. But all in all we wont come back due to the poor...
Read moreThis little gem fed our family breakfast every morning we were in town. You can get coffee (see menu for choices) or "red bull blasts" for the teenagers. Coffee is "pretty good" but the bagels are GREAT! I didn't try the ice cream.
The service is great. My barista took my order and made my coffee while filling three other orders on the phone, all while holding a conversation with me.
You definitely won't get a Starbucks feel here. The girls are personable and helped me pick out coffee and bagels based on what I knew about whom I was ordering for. There's also a ridiculously cute "buddy board" aka IOU tab hung up on the wall. I cracked up and instantly appreciated the small town charm. (Sorry travelers, it's only for locals. Feel free to pay off the sheriff's tab though!)
Next time I bike the Hiawatha, I'll be back by this place.
To the owner - I hear you really value your online presence. You're doing great! I only stopped by because of the Google reviews and now I'm leaving one myself after repeat...
Read moreAs someone who came all the way here from the east coast, where we take our coffee and cafes VERY seriously, I was blown away with The Beanery!
Nestled in the pine mountains in Kellogg ID (which I didn’t even know was a place until I got here!), not only are you welcomed with mountain-town charm, but you become instant family. The baristas are attentive to your needs and want to be sure that your experience feels just like home. The cafe offers those visiting a historical review of the area through their decoration and signs, but I bet if you asked any friendly local, they’d tell you all about the history that you WON’T find on the internet!
They have a GF bagel option, dairy free milks and TONS of delicious coffee and espresso drinks! I ordered a dirty chai with oat milk. Amazing! Their menu was also filled with delicious breakfast options hot and ready to take OR made to order and lovingly hand delivered to you. It is a perfect start to a busy outdoorsy active morning!
We will be back for...
