At first you might think, “How good can Thai food be at a Japanese restaurant? That’s kind of weird.” SEE FOR YOURSELF! You won’t regret it. I couldn’t decide between Japanese or Thai food for dinner… so why not both? 😁 The menu is generous with so many options. The only Japanese item I tried was the Japanese pumpkin rolls: tender little fried chunks of kobocha pumpkin inside sushi rice. They were dense and yummy but the best was yet to come: The best chicken satay and tofu pad see ew I’VE 👏🏻 EVER 👏🏻 HAD 👏🏻. The chicken just melted apart after having been marinated in coconut milk and spices and then grilled. Juicy little pieces of heaven that came with peanut sauce and a delicious cucumber salad that made for a great topping and texture experience. The pad see ew… omg. They got everything right. Hardly salty. Chinese broccoli chopped at an angle for more flavor absorption and tenderness. Leafy greens from the broccoli kept the dish fresh and interesting. One star was barely spicy. The perfectly cooked noodles and fried tofu were carmelized from the high-heat frying. The attention to detail on this pad see ew was Japanese in style even with that traditional Thai taste. I also had the vegetable mango salad rolls, which were good for additional veggies. Only downside was the ambiance/atmosphere. It was pretty minimalist and not very cozy. I liked the artistic banners hanging from the ceiling, though. Anyways, treat yourself to Toma, especially if you love Thai food. The staff were so friendly and sweet, too!

Good mix of Japanese and Thai food. This restaurant's menu definitely stands out. No strange fusion dishes mixing the cultures, you can order Japanese OR Thai food. This is amazing for takeout. The menu is large without being overwhelming. Definitely one of my new favourites in the area. And the space is very clean with friendly staff, which is so important for sushi. Highly recommend the vegetable tempura and volcano roll.

I visited Toma Sushi Bar and Restaurant to check out the venue for a party and was impressed by their Thai food options. The Tom Kha Gai, Pineapple Fried Rice, Crispy Garlic Chicken and Samurai sushi were standout dishes with impressive flavors and quality. The combination of flavorful Thai food, great service, and an inviting atmosphere makes it a fantastic choice for both casual dining and special occasions.

LOCAL FOOD RAVE: TOMA on Bothell Way by U haul. Japanese food and Thai food. Orange chicken was overcooked chicken but ok breading and sauce, 3/5. I was expecting heavenly perfection, my fault for being too hungry. The pad thai (no stars, no onions, no peanuts, chix) was good, unique, I like them more ketchup -y, and chix was overcooked but less so than Orange Cx, 3.5/5. Pad kee mao was good, as expected (this place was gorgeous inside, sweet bar lounge in the back with a FULL MOON, check it out), 1 full star, tofu, was great, 4/5. The Japanese Pumpkin rolls were incredible, 5/5. Avocado rolls were rolled so tight, I was concerned about our safety, 5/5. Perhaps the Thai side had a lil off night, emphasis on lil and won't stop me from going back. Soon. Clean, huge menu, great staff, great location, I sure hope they stay around as long as they want. Price was equal to Sushi Zone but better sushi, IMHO. Our fam of 4 first...

I think I’ve found my new local Asian food spot! Tried Toma out because of a friend of our son works here, and the food was great. We had the agedashi tofu (perfectly crispy on the outside) the samurai roll, sunshine roll, and cherry blossom roll. All of them were fresh tasting and top-notch. Good roll-sizes as well We’ll definitely return, and probably switch to Toma for our Asian take-out nights as well. Good luck to these folks with their new venture. 👍🏼

Decor-wise there are a few aspects to improve, but that will...
