Rococo Ice Cream (Scoop Shop) — Restaurant in Kennebunk

I called Rocco’s because I live in a different state and wanted to order the goat cheese blackberry chambord ice cream and only saw the goat cheese figs and honey option. I called the store and Kylie answered the phone and she was very nice and sweet and just a pleasure to speak with. She told me the figs option was the fall flavor and that the goat Blackberry will be available in the spring. She knew I really wanted the blackberry one and took down my number and said she will call me back. She called me back and said that I can order the blackberry one by joining the pint club and she explained what it was. She then told me she can give me her cell phone number or the owners number just in case I have any issues ordering online! I told her that was not necessary but what a wonderful girl to offer her number for further assistance . We go to Maine every year and love the goat cheese Blackberry ice cream and since we couldn’t go this year, I was so happy that there was an option to order on line. If you go there go see Kylie! She represents what customer service should look like and the owners should be proud to have such a great employee!...

So disappointed. We wanted to get an ice cream to go after the prelude festivities. We walked through the snow and came to the shop where we could see people inside eating ice creamy treats. We tried to enter but it seemed the door was stuck and then we though accidentally got locked... As we signaled this to those I side and employee came toward the door...we thought to open it... But instead turned off the outside lights and did not let us in. The time was 7:39, and the song said, come in we are open! And there were people inside eating!!! . What very poor customer service and how very rude... If you didn't want any more customers even though it was during mo regular hours of operation then you could have and at the very least should have opened the door and explained the reason for not letting us come in. I am a Maine resident who visits the port semi regularly, in all kinds of weather and not just during tourist season. I am not sure if I would return to your shop after this event. Very much feel...

AMAZING stop for a sweet local treat without preservatives and junk. got a petite mango sorbet mixed with cayenne avocado(bc i be hype like that) and IT WAS AMAZING. i usually have problems with most ice cream being too rich sweet unhealthy and overall nasty but Rococo DOES IT RIGHT! Best ice cream shop rivaling Morgensterns NYC....NOPE..these guys are better. Very friendly staff and great to accomodate the vegan. i recommend the goat cheese, mango sorbet, and any vegan flavour. your legit not going to lose whatever you choose bc its all amazing. great job y'all!💘💖

Came back in 2025 and the 3 girls who helped me choose my lower sugar flavor were AMAZING and super professional. They hire some real good people here. Im usually lactose sensitive but this like kiddie size I got didnt irritate me. Great job Rococo! Youre keeping our Maine tradition alive ❤️ 💙
