I love Lilly Pulitzer and usually buy online. However when in Kennebunkport we like to see the store. The lady behind the counter was unhelpful and rude, No acknowledging us when we entered and she did this on 2 different occasions. Wasn’t busy either. Other sales people who later helped were nice! I noticed the dress I purchased 2 days prior went on sale. I asked about that. She indicated, after I pursued (she was resistant but i pushed back, which is wrong of her, about a price adjustment, was a one time only option, when by law there is a 10 day policy and was outwardly rude! The dress was on a 50 percent rack. She stated she just put it there and its only 30 percent. We have a picture, that isn’t right or even legal, but again treated badly, let it slide and took the 30 percent. But here is the worst, there are free gifts for a 250.00 spend and i spent in excess of 650 the first time free gifts were available and I knew because I shop Lilly on line, they never mentioned the free gifts. Excess of 250 the second purchase (had to because now i had a store only credit from the previous day I spent 400. online you get your money back people, remember that because in the store only a store credit) It states on Lilly Pulitzer website that both free gifts should be given, they allowed me 1! Only 1! Gave me another free small gift (again should have gotten both Together and my husband made a purchase as well. So really should have been all 4.) They said they ran out…it was the beginning of the free gifts, such a stingy lie. Let’s just say this, buying online you won’t be ripped off and you will get your free gifts for what you spend and frankly what you deserve after giving them your money, your precious business. You won’t get bad service from a snooty sales person who can’t even crack a smile to a customer spending a lot of money in their store. Going online, you will feel you get what you paid for, not the aggravation of a difficult salesperson and owner. They aren’t enticing customers to purchase in-fact just the opposite. Honestly the worst customer service and if they were truly apologetic for the way we were treated the store Pink Tangerine would have made it right and they Did Not…Buyer beware! Most likely your not being told of gifts with purchase. They keep it secret there, which isn’t smart for the store obviously. Free gifts and people spend more. So lets add this up, I spent in 2 different days over 1200 dollars and got nothing but a bad experience, short free gifts, and a headache. ...
Read moreVery nice selection, but I felt incredibly claustrophobic considering the staff follows you around the entire time, rearranging or refolding everything you touch. I felt like I was suppose to look only from a distance...they might as well have signs saying, “DON’T TOUCH THE MERCHANDISE!” Good lord who doesn’t want to touch the garment they’re interested in purchasing? No one wants a sales person right behind them the entire time. It’s very unnerving & uncomfortable. Truly, I felt like asking the sales girl if SHE needed something! I suggest they reel it in a bit. Allow your customer to fully enjoy their shopping experience with assistance,...
Read moreI really like this store. They have high quality items and some of them say "Kennebunkport" on them and as such, they make for high quality souvenirs. I bought a sweatshirt while I was there and almost bought a belt and when I'd gotten home I regretted not buying the belt. I called them to see if they'd ship it to me and they said that they would, and for a very reasonable shipping rate. I received very helpful and polite customer service both while in the store and over the phone. Next time I'm in the Kennebunks (hopefully next summer), I will certainly pop in the Green Tangerine, and most likely buy...
