Dook's Burger — Restaurant in Kenner

Just like the other guy, I wish I had read the reviews first. Anyways, here we go. When we ordered they had ran out of fries (which is the real reason why we selected this place) and instead offered a side sorry side salad (the tomatoes were definitely questionable with age spots on a couple of them.) And only one size drinks were available if you didn't get bottled soda which is only ten cents difference. At least, the bottled soda isn't watered-down. And as far as the taste goes... I would give it a 5/10. Certainly nothing to write home about but nor would you turn it down if you're mildy hungry and on a tight budget. Yeah, everyone knows you pay extra for common things and food at the airport. And as I am fond of saying, 'you get what you pay for,' and this place was definitely not the exception to the rule. The only good thing I can say is that the service really wasn't bad. The lady that served us was pleasant eventhough the place was surprisingly busy. Needless to say I won't make that mistake again though. Maybe I can bring snacks? Hope your experience...

Most astonishingly rude behavior I have ever experienced while dining! I sat at one of the empty bar seats (It was 730am and they were all empty) for the MoPho next to the Dook's order counter while waiting for my food to be ready. Initially there was no problem.

After receiving my food I returned to my seat, and the cashier who apparently was also the manager of both establishments, told me I couldn't eat there unless I bought a drink. Calmly replying "Ok," I continued to sit there for a few seconds, not eating, while checking my phone. The behavior escalated as she told me I could not even sit there unless I bought a drink. (730am, no one was buying a drink!) She then dialed airport security on me for sitting at an empty counter. One of the MoPho employees kindly rushed over to interrupt her needless tirade. If I could leave zero stars I would! Every time I fly out of MSY the service is horrible. Today I’m standing at the counter trying to order food. I can clearly see at least 4 employees standing in the back. No one ever came out to say anything. The bartender across at MoPho says they don’t have a cashier and to go to the bar and order. I stand inline at the bar and finally the bartender who was by herself and slammed tending to her bar, asked what I’d like. I said we’d like to order food and she said not till after 11:00 it was 10:30 and they serve breakfast until 10:30 so apparently no food from 10:30 to 11! Then another guy who was just trying to get some grab and go food. He wend somewhere else in the terminal and was told he couldn’t sit there and eat!
