The manager who took my order was extremely rude. I watched as he handled the guest before me, of Spanish decend, with care and compassion. I assumed I would get the same treatment but I was wrong. I had no problem with placing my order; that went well. It was when I received my order that the problem occured. My boxes were sat on the counter and I asked if I could check the order before he placed them in the bag please. The manager shoved the boxes to me and walked away. I looked through the boxes and my order was wrong. I asked the manager could he make my order right and he totally ignored me. I just assumed he did not hear me so I spoke a little louder. He still ignored me. Some other young lady asked what was I missing and was it spicy or mild. I responded and she made it right. The young lady whet back to her area and finished her work. The original manager remained in the packaging area. I asked for some honey to go with my biscuit and a bag for my food. The original bag got wet when he slid the food across the counter; the counter was wet! He ignored me again. I said hello did anyone hear me. He came over and threw a bag on the counter. I asked could he bag my food. He laughed very loudly like what I was asking was above and beyond his call of duty. I said to him, since it's so funny I want my money back. He says no problem, I will gladly give your money back. I attempted to tell him how I felt then he put his hands up, brick wall style, he didn't want to hear what I had to day! When visiting an establishment, I expect to be treated fairly. I do not expect people to go above and beyond; just norm. This guy was totally out of line and I do not appreciate it ....not one bit! I do not want to assume this is racially motivated but I am a black woman and the couple before me was Hispanic. He treated these people with respect of the most high, he took his time with them, and even shook their hands before sending them off. When he got to me he totally changed his demeanor. Read moreThis Popeyes has very bad customer service!! My family and I are visiting my sisters from Chicago and decided that we wanted to eat in Popeyes on our way home. We ordered a family meal w/ a gallon of sweet tea and informed the cashier that we would be eating in. We asked for cups to go w/ our sweet tea and we're given containers that they usually use to fill sides. We asked the cashier if we could have regular cups since we had a gallon of sweet tea. He informed us that they were not allowed to do so. We then stated again that we ordered a gallon, had a party of six and the cups they gave us would not accommodate straws. While the cashier waited for answer from the manager that stood there silent the entire time, we overheard the front line staff stating that they didn't want to ask the manager anything because he had already stated "say no more". After being completely ignored by the manager on staff we ask that the sweet tea be taken off our bill. The manager in turn opened the drawer w/ an attitude, still not acknowledging us, paying customers, and said we have to pay full price for drinks if we want drinking cups, although we had already ordered a drink. At that point we were completely fed up w/ the disrespect and asked for a full refund. The manager gave it to us, never apologized or even looking up at us, and slammed the drawer shut. Read moreWhat a terrible experience for a local favorite. Wow. I ordered online for delivery. After an hour, I drove to the store. Waited in line. Then was told... And I quote... "We ain't open" at the drive thru.
I informed them that I paid... And had been waiting for more than an hour for my delivery to which the lady said... "Oh well, we ain't open and you need to call the people on the app to try and get my money back"...
Literally have never had a worse experience with a restaurant. I ended up having to go somewhere else and file a complaint to get a refund. That part was rather painless, but I can say that I will never trust going there again.
Sad. Such amazing food with typically friendly service. This experience isn't the end of the world, but just a disappointment for a place known for food... And at one point......
