A Easter Dinner Fail. In the area visiting our KSU student for holiday dinner. Upon entering this restaurant 1st flag the establishment was not busy on a Easter Sunday and very easy to get seated with no wait and other area restaurants had a wait.Waiter name was Chase who was very polite and well versed on menu…Appetizers ordered - hush puppies were delicious BUT the award winning wings were over cooked and hard but edible. Flag 2 bourbon salmon tasted really old not fresh was incredibly salty and tasted like it was over marinated, the feta scallion mashed potatoes tasted like store bought / microwaved potatoes, we told our waiter but no action / effort to correct. Green beans were too salty, pretzel pork chop under seasoned and incredibly sweet. Other than the hush puppies the Gouda Mac and cheese was a 10/10 very good. Flag 3 Shrimp & Grits came with capers on top…We make better shrimp and grits at home… their recipe was tasteless and not the traditional recipe. Overall this was a less than mediocre dining experience which was very disappointing as we wanted to avoid the normal chain restaurants to get a more farm to table fresh ingredient dinner experience. When visiting the area we will just stick to Cava, Copelands, Whole Foods bar or Cracker Barrel where we can trust the food will be edible and consistent. 1885 perhaps seek professional chef and restaurateur consultation to fix what’s broken in your kitchen and restaurant…..Dining...

Came to 1885 Grill with a friend after hearing all about it and had a good time!

The service was outstanding despite an event starting soon and we were attended to constantly. Waiter came by multiple times to check on us and make sure everything was alright.

The food was good, mainly with the appetizers being okay while the entree and dessert were absolutely amazing.

We ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes as well as the Smoked Salmon and Artichoke Dip. The fried green tomatoes were good, but the chow-chow and pimento cheese didn’t pair well with it. We didn’t enjoy the smoked salmon and artichoke dip at all, but when we alerted the waiter he took it back and didn’t charge us for it which was very kind of him.

For the main entree I ordered the 1885 Burger and the Mac & Cheese and absolutely devoured it. Was one of the best burgers i’ve ever had! It was seasoned well, the toppings paired great with it, and the Mac & Cheese was a great addition. My friend ordered the Grilled Salmon and Mac & Cheese and said it was good but could’ve used more salt which he added himself.

Lastly we ordered a slice of Cheesecake and it was some of the best i’ve ever had from a restaurant. Creamy, delicious, and not too heavy!

Overall it was a great experience with some delicious food and I will be returning when I get...

I have been to the 1885 Acworth, 1885 (Chattanooga both locations) and now KENNESAW. Service was excellent! We were seated promptly and our server was very nice. We Ari Ed a bit before 5 pm. We ordered the smoked salmon and artichoke dip to start. It is served cold with warm pita triangles and you will need to ask for more of the pita. We were given six pieces, and the bowl is a good size. We ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos which were very good. We also ordered a salad with feta, dried cranberries, almond and lemon rosemary dressing. Dressing was not to my liking at all. Too much Rosemary. I ended up with Ranch. Balsamic had way too much oil in it so only choices were ranch or blue cheese. I also ordered fresh salmon added and cooked medium. It was cooked to perfection. We ordered a chocolate cake and pecan bread pudding for dessert. Good portions. Pecan bread pudding was burnt so badly I would not EVER order it again. You could tell it was black all over and it certainly affected the taste. No way they couldn’t tell the bread pudding was so badly burned. We didn’t order any cocktails but they looked great. Nice ambience. We will revisit this location. Much better service than Acworth location although parking is difficult. Not much in way of true...

The power went out in our neighborhood so we decided it was time to dine out and we wanted to stay close to home. Parking close was a little challenge, but we managed. The atmosphere in the restaurant was welcoming as were the host staff. The concrete floors do make the restaurant a bit loud, but it was ok. The demographics of the diners was broad and fun. Our waiter 'W' was excellent. I can't pronounce or really remember his name. So we had a bottle of wine and shared 3 mahi tacos and fries. The fries were very good, breaded and crunchy. The mahi was well cooked and topped with a pineapple 'salsa ?' They were good, but I think they needed an aioli so I asked for remoulade and that really helped. I do suggest you taste the mahi tacos at Bahama Breeze to get some perspective. Overall we had a great time and the power was back on when we got home. Visited again on 4/2/25, pr anniversary and chose the lobster ravioli. Excellent and stuffed full. Excellent service again. Yall have it going on. We split the dish as we did before and it was plenty.
