The worst dining experience we have ever had, twice!!! We stopped going to Ted's for roughly 8 months after a dining experience that was so terrible it would have been laughable if it was in a movie. So after our hiatus our family started going back to Ted's about 1 year ago and have been going roughly 2-3 times a month since, prior to our latest experience we have noticed a constant turnover of management and employees with a definite drop in food quality and service. Our latest experience was last night, we were sat at 6 pm, table of 6 adults and 2 children under 2, drink order (3 beers, 3 wines, kids sprites) and kids dinner order was taken and then we waited.....after 15 minutes with no pickles or even water we flagged down a different server just to get our drinks who in turn got our server to finally came over to take our dinner order, at which point we asked for the kids meals again and the pickles to keep the kids occupied, it took another 10 minutes for our drinks to even arrive and when the drinks started to come out it was one by one, we were still missing a wine which my mother had to go up to the bar and get herself! A manager came over and apologized to us at which point we asked for pickles and the kids meals to come as soon as possible since we had already been waiting for 35-40 minutes at this point. After another 20 minutes of waiting we had to flag ANOTHER server down to grab our server and ask for the kids meals and waters again, then our server informed us that the restaurant was out of turkey dinners which two people at our table had ordered, this was 40 minutes after we ordered them!!! And guess what? Still no kids meals or waters after we had already been seated for 1 hour, not to mention the Ted's Chips we ordered as a table appetizer 40 minutes before. Finally after 10 more minutes chips arrive with the dinners right shortly after, one filet we ordered was cooked well done (consistency of a hockey puck) when ordered as a medium, with a side of cold fries, we sent it back. My burger also ordered at a medium was so well done I couldn't even taste the bison just char, 2 steak salads had wilted lettuce and one bison short ribs looked so over cooked I am pretty positive it was leftover from the night before, at this point we were so hungry that everybody but the filet ate what they could, we sent the filet back, which took another 20 MINUTES TO COME OUT AT A MEDIUM TEMPERATURE. We cancelled the order at the 15 minute mark but they still brought it out as a "freebie". we have been here for 1.5 hours at this point and everyone was so disgusted by the experience that we all agreed to never come back. In summary, terrible service, terrible food and poor management, literally the two worst restaurant experiences in our lives have been at this specific Teds. worst $200 spent in my...

The atmosphere is a little old-timey steak restaurant type of place. Beautiful bar set up. A. Buffalo on the wall... More about that later.
Our server was named Destiny. She was excellent. Also, she was the bartender. For reference, my wife told me that her drinks ordered were the best she's had.. which says a lot, if you know my wife, also she bartended for many many years. Her drinks were beautiful and well made. Just Tasty!
For reference, Ted's is one of the few places that serves bison. And if I recall, he had many many acres that he was raising Buffalo on. So hence the buffalo on the wall and the the kind of a old-timey saloon feel.
I have to say I was disappointed after stopping in for lunch. We both ordered burgers cooked medium, one cooked medium well. Both burgers came out like shoe leather. No juice, no flavor... No good flavor at least... My burger tasted like old meat. Now we were not there at the opening of lunch but at the closing. So it's meat should have been fresh, if you know what I'm talking about. Sometimes if you're at a restaurant at opening for lunch, the first Burger out of the drawer even though it's still fresh, meat might have picked up some odors overnight additional flavors... Hopefully not.. but it does happen. I do not expect to have that kind of flavor, nastiness, at the end of lunch.
Was the restaurant busy... No Should the cook have known how to temp the burger... Yes
Unfortunately we did not have time to send it back.
The burgers had zero seasoning.
I would have complained if it had not been for my wife receiving blue cheese crumbles for her burners... She seemed to be in heaven with the blue cheese that day. And with our time constraint... Made the decision not to send the food back.
Other Ted Montana grills that we visited and different places within the country, have been stellar.
I feel that this restaurant definitely needs the help getting people into it. Especially since it's so far off the beaten path. It is attached to another restaurant. Which recently closed down. So I imagine the location might be struggling. It's a shame
There's plenty of quality food to choose from. My advice to you might be to avoid lunch time if you want your meat temped correctly.
I'm nearly apologetic for the low score I gave knowing this Brand's potential... But it is an honest review. We might return for dinner to give it a try. It is not high on my...
Read moreTo the CEO of Ted’s Montana Grill,
I’m writing this letter with a heavy heart and deep disappointment regarding my recent experience at your Kennesaw, GA location (2500 Cobb Place Ln NW). What was supposed to be a joyful celebration for my niece’s college graduation turned into a moment filled with frustration, disrespect, and what I can only describe as discriminatory treatment.
From the very beginning, I asked our server for a simple request—extra pickles. That’s it. Just pickles. Something so small, yet it became symbolic of the lack of attention, care, and respect we received throughout our visit. I also personally called over the manager—or at least the person who claimed to be the manager—and explained that we were a party of 12 and our server clearly needed some assistance. He acknowledged my request and gave the impression that help would be sent. But guess what? No one ever came. No additional support was offered to the server, and it became clear that my concerns were dismissed.
Even worse, the pickles I asked for at the start of sitting down didn’t arrive until 35 minutes later. Not once did anyone communicate a delay, nor was I offered any explanation. And at that point, I didn’t even want them anymore. After being ignored, overlooked, and left feeling like a nuisance rather than a valued guest, I lost all trust in the integrity of the service and the safety of the food. I didn’t eat a single bite out of genuine fear that my food might be tampered with. That’s how uncomfortable and unwanted I felt.
What hurt most was how this experience cast a dark cloud over what was supposed to be a proud and beautiful moment for my family. My niece worked hard to earn her college degree, and we chose your establishment thinking we’d receive hospitality and service worthy of such a celebration. Instead, I spent the evening sitting in silence, with a knot in my stomach—not from hunger, but from the pain of being treated like we didn’t matter.
This wasn’t just bad service. It was dismissive. It was inconsiderate. And yes, it felt discriminatory. No one should feel neglected or unsafe in a restaurant, especially when all they asked for was respect and basic service.
I hope this message reaches your heart and that you take immediate action to investigate and correct the culture at your Kennesaw location. No celebration should end in disappointment, and no customer should ever walk out feeling the way I did—ignored, disrespected, and...
