We had dinner here this past Saturday (10/26) for my daughter's birthday, after passing on several chain restaurants that were packed with long wait times. I had been here before and I anticipated the food being awesome (it was) but I wanted to write a review about our waitress! We got to the restaurant about 1.5 hours before close, and we were her last table.
I totally relate to the itch to get out of the restaurant at closing, but she didn't make us feel hurried out at all! She was SO sweet to my kids, they loved her and my daughter was still talking about it this morning. I wish I could personally give her a raise. It was the best dining experience we've had in a long time! She was personable, funny, and a fantastic server as well. She made our drinks and turned out to be a talented bartender on top of that. I wish I remembered what her name was.
The hostess was also super sweet and engaged with the kids while we walked to the table, showing them the Halloween decorations. We came back for breakfast the next day before leaving town and everyone who helped us then was great too! Our waitress was sweet and attentive despite things ramping up for Sunday breakfast service while we were there.
This restaurant has great food and the staff are really special! I hope that is recognized and rewarded because...
Read moreThe food is always good, so it automatically starts off with a good review in my eyes. I've visited here multiple times over the course of about a year and all I will have to say is that since the old store manager Sage left it hasn't really been the same. I believe the new manager is Saber, but I've only seen a few people stay consistent between my visits.
Kisha is the best waitress and hostess there, Winter is awesome and I've gotten to know a few others that have just disappeared for some reason. Over all a good place, but I wish that they would keep their waitresses or waiters more than a month at a time.
Edit: The kenniweck location has lost more original workers than the reply to this review states. I recognize one name there. One. I've been going to your resturaunt for 1 and a half years. You can't tell me that the originals aren't being fired and replaced, because that is exactly what is happening. My review is dropping to 3 stars and maybe 2, because it is a blatant misleading of information about your hire on. They aren't being trained well, half of them aren't taking their jobs seriously, and I've only seen one person worth keeping and that is a server named Chloe. Do better, because I'm dissapointed in a place I like going to with my...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant for the first time last night (Thursday August 25 2016). The place is tastefully decorated in a modern upscale style with nice views of the Columbia River. The restaurant was about 80% full and we were seated after about 5 minutes. When we were seated our server, Michael, greeted us immediately and allowed us a few minutes to review the wine menu. We selected the white wine sampler ($9) which provided a good 2oz serving each of 3 local whites. A nice feature of the sampler is that a paper placard accompanies it with the name and description of each of the wines that you can take with you as a reminder. All were good and I'll probably try bottles of each of them in the future.
Rather than having a full dinner, we opted to feast on the "Small Plates" which turned out to be good sized appetizers. We had the seared ahi nachos and the seared salmon. Both were delicious and were completely satisfying as a light meal. Both are highly recommended!
Since we had a light meal there was room for desert. We shared the "Melting Chocolate" which is a slice of brownie cake covered in vanilla ice cream drizzled with raspberry sauce. Delish!
Overall our visit was exceptional and we will definitely...
