Incredibly rude service. This was a very difficult and upsetting experience I had ever experienced among all the Wendy's in the entire nation. I am a roadtripper and frequent traveler. At 6.30pm on 7/5, I saw a promotion offer on Wendy's app for "order anything and get a free medium fries", so I tapped "use this offer and order in store", it shows a QR code and wants me to scan at checkout. I entered the drive-thru, ordered accordingly, and waited in the queue under the sun. When I got to the checkout window and showed my phone. A male staff (Black) spoke very fast "I can't scan your code, $14.94, are you going to pay or no?" I tried to explain to him that this offer is the reason I came to the store instead of somewhere else. He repeatedly said "my system is down, $14.94, do you want to pay or leave?" With an emotional expression. While he tried to rush me, I also tried to explain that if he could told me their system is down and can't scan any code, I couldve just left at the order window and didn't have to queue under the sun to find out at the checkout window. He turned more upset...I asked if I could speak to his manager. His manager came and spoke with me with an attitude of "I don't care about what you think" "this is us, this is the customer service you get". There is no politeness, no sense of a service. And manager also asked me "you pay, or you leave, I'll cancel your order". I was...
Read moreI usually would go to Wendy's to get their spicy chicken related items. This time around (October 9th, 2024), I went to get the SpongeBob Krabby Patty meal. I couldn't really tell if there was the Krabby patty sauce inside the burger. Taste wise, I wouldn't notice the difference between this and a regular hamburger.
The main highlight was the Pineapple Mango frosty. That was very tasty and smooth. Fries are fries which is normal if you like a more potato taste.
Customer service wise, the food was on time when I picked it up. Only downside was that they ran out of the SpongeBob collaboration stickers which is a big L since it was only 1-2 days into the start of the Spongebob x Wendy's event.
I got the nuggets for free with the coupon on the Wendy's app which is a big plus. Large soda drink was only 1 dollar plus tax which is amazing pricing.
Overall, this SpongeBob Krabby Meal was a bit of a disappointment. I believe that the frosty was the only thing new and interesting. You would think the Krabby Patty meal would be known for its burger like in the TV show but that wasn't the case. Wendy's for sure is worth the price to food ratio which is always nice when it comes to...
Read moreI haven't been to a Wendy's in a long time (years) because of bad service (not food).( Dave was alive the last time I went a Wendy's) I wanted to try the Spicy Chicken sandwich which everyone says is better than Popeye's. The experience was NOT good. I ordered a $5 Biggie bag and a spicy chicken sandwich. The first time thru I only got the Biggie Bag, no chicken sandwich. PLUS, except for the burger, all the food was room temperature. Returned that for a second order. This time the Biggie bag was tossed into a regular bag with the chicken sandwich, so I don't know if we got it all. AGAIN the food was barely warm, definitely not up to food safety standards. The chicken sandwich was warm but soggy, obliviously not fresh cooked. Reported them to King County Health. Not a safe place to eat. I work in the food industry and regularly take the Food Handler's test and certification. I KNOW things are wrong...
