There are 3 things that cause restaurants to fail... 1. Food quality, 2. Prices, 3. Customer service. This place isn't going to last much longer without major changes. Walked in to a pretty busy evening with 3 tables empty & still dirty with dishes. My party waited 10 mins for someone to clear off a table just to find it soaking wet, including 2 of the chairs. I waited, standing up for someone to come close to dry off everything... again waited about 5 mins for that. We had to ask for menus & silverware.. took way too long for that. Once the waiter remembered we were in his section, he finally came to take our drink & appetizer order. (We were sat next to the entrance/ window) Each time someone in my party told him something they wanted to order, he would turn away, take 3 steps to the POS & punch the order in & swing back to our table for the rest. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!! The dish I had was ok, but barely warm. The service was non-existent , and the food was ok but could be hot. Dessert were free because everything we ordered they were out of, on a Thursday evening at 6 pm. I'm not sure if I'll give this place a second chance. It's 50/50 right now.

My wife and I live in Hunt, west of Kerrville. We had seen this new restaurant in downtown Kerville and decided to try it last Saturday at lunch on 7/20/24. We had been in this establishment before when it was a different restaurant and noticed the very nice upgrades to the interior of the place. They added bench seating, some nice woodwork and upgraded the bar. So far, we were impressed. We were seated quickly and before long, our waitress came and took our drink order. I had the martini (pictured) and they made a very good one. We ordered the calamari (pictured) and it was hot and delicious upon arrival. We then ordered our entrees and were not disappointed. My wife ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and I ordered the sausage Rigitoni. Both dishes were excellent and delicious (also pictured). My wife and I will be back as we are fans of Italian cuisine and this was very good! I highly recommend if you are in Kerrville and enjoy Italian cuisine that you stop in for a treat!

Wonderful dinner tonight at il Posto Italian Restaurant that once was an old opera house. My server Ceneth set me up at the bar while I looked over the menu. It was a difficult choice but I decided on the bread with their special dipping oil and the Rigatoni Alla Vodka. The bread is baked in-house and the dipping oil is homemade. This was the absolute BEST I’ve ever had…full of seasoning, garlic, and olive oil. The Rigatoni Alla Vodka is “delizioso”...perfectly cooked pasta and the sauce is rich, creamy, and flavored with bits of pancetta. I added a bit of red pepper flakes giving the dish a bit of a kick. Overall a great meal in a nice location with exceptional service.

Today was my 4th time visiting this restaurant, and I have always a great experience, and good food. Today's experience was different. I ordered my usual Mediterranean Salad with grilled salmon. I asked our waiter if it came with dressing on it, and that I would like the dressing on the side, please. When she brought out the salad, the dressing was on it. When I mentioned that I had asked for it on the side, she said "Well, do you want me to take it back?" (not in a friendly way) I was a little surprised that she didn't just offer to take it back and bring me one without dressing on it. Since the salmon was a good size, I really couldn't see how the salad looked so said that it would probably be ok. There was way too much dressing on it, so I just ate the salmon, and didn't complain. Please understand me, I am not complaining about the food, it's about the waiter attitude toward me. When I finished the salmon, I set my bowl to the side, salad untouched. She came and asked if I wanted her to take my bowl away, no comment on the salad, and I said that there was too much dressing to eat the salad. This is her remark " Well, you ate the best part anyway!". She brought the bill, no discount on the salad, full price. Come to find out that she is the manager there. I asked to speak to her when I was finished, and told her that my salad had too much dressing, she argued with me that she asked me if I wanted her to take it back. I said I she should have just given better customer service and taken it back. I said I paid for a full meal, and only got half of my meal. She said in a bland voice, no remorse, "Well I am sorry, God Bless You, and have a good day." Very condescending to me. I will have to decide to go back there again or not. I do not normally send my food back, or write bad reviews about my experience, but I am still a little dissatisfied with my experience, with the manager! I told her that I hope she teaches her wait staff to give better Customer Service...

I've always enjoyed the food at Il Posto and decided to treat my sister to lunch there on Friday 7/25. We were to meet at 11:45am and I was there waiting. A server asked if I would like something to drink while I waited and provided the tea. My sister was detained by a little over half an hour and shortly after her arrival, the server asked if we were ready to order or did we need a few more minutes. We said we needed a few more minutes and decided in 5 minutes what were to order. We waited and waited for the server to return (over 15 minutes) and spied her speaking to a couple against the wall. We tried and tried to get her attention but to no avail. I finally walked over to her and told her we were ready. She said she would be over as soon as she finished her lengthy conversation --about 7 more minutes! She finally made her appearance and we quickly gave her order and she berated us for making her wait so long at the beginning. As there were few people dining, there seemed to be no problem with me waiting as she never came over and and offered a tea refill. She was so rude and kept being insistent that we were the cause of her wait. My sister is gluten intolerant and asked if gluten-free pasta was available. The server took note and after a few more rude remarks, took our order. We looked at each other almost walked out. However, a different server came over with our orders--I had ordered a fish dish and he brought an eggplant dish. I asked the name of our first server and he said she was the manager. We were both flabbergasted to have been treated so rudely by a manager. When he took the wrong dish back it appeared that the rude manager disputed this being the wrong order. My sister was afraid to eat the pasta because she suspicious that it was not gluten-free and was regular. The male server was excellent and made sure and refilled and made sure everything was ok. The food was good but the attitude of the manager ruined the lunch...
