Funky is a good word. This place gets busy easy, even on a rainy night. We went last minute and were told there was a 20 minute wait. No problem, comfy sofas, and a glass of wine was had. The wines are a fantastic balance of value[average $10.00] for quality. Pinot Noir was on point, smooth, nice fruit good palette, and paired nicely to the stupidly massive burger - Wagyu beef patty was every bit of 10 ounces, juicy cooked to order. My son had a beer flight, which was well priced at $10,-12 bucks. My wife had shrimp tacos and raved about them. I ended up ordering the Greek salad and added a meat to it. There were several choices -2 types of chicken, venison, antelope etc. With that I had a Sauvignon Blanc - I like crisp, dry fruit forward whites. The server accurately directed me to the right wine! Good job. Service was polite, un hurried, and engaging. I'd prefer slightly less scruffy looking T Shirts. But everyone was clean and polite!

It can be a loud place, if inside. With a 8-10 person bar area and tables separated by curtains and wooden floors it can get a bit feisty. This is not a quiet romance location. But outside might be better. The local art on the walls...not my groove. I like the bar area and the extensive set of beers on tap, and the SMALL TV, not monster in your face screen. Thank you.

Anyway back to the dinner- Did we wait 20 minutes? -No! There was a cancellation and the team, showed us right in and we got seated before the wine was even served. Nice.

Thankfully all the dishes are NOT TX sized. These are thoughtful portions, directing your attention to flavour not volume. For that go hit a greasy spoon Mexican joint, there are dozens in K-ville.

2 glasses of wine. 1 beer flight and a coke. 3 main dishes [the burger was fairly priced at 19$] with tip 100 bucks even. Not cheap, not outrageous. I'd suggest this is one of two 'better' dining experiences in K-vill I'm aware of [Im a new resident]. 1011 being the other, with a very different style, but both are focused on food & service. See other reviews for food snaps. This is a 5 star place relative to its eating competition locally. 4 stars on a State...

My wife and I have been going here for approximately 12 years, even when they were at their previous location on Junction Highway. In the past, we always thought highly of this place. Not anymore. The rudeness and arrogance of staff has become so bad that I have left my last 2 visits without even ordering. I had family in tow both times, and was embarrassed by the staff’s actions. The last event on 14 Dec at 8:00 PM was the last straw. The place was busy, and after going up to 2 open seats at the bar and waiting for about 10 minutes, we asked a young woman for a couple beers. She appeared to start to pour the beers when a bearded man with a trucker cap came over and asked her what she was doing. He immediately snapped at us and asked me who sat us here. I told him the bar had 2 open seats, so we we took them. Note, there were 4-5 other open seats as well and nobody in line to get in. He then said that we couldn’t sit there because they were too busy and that if we wanted beers, it would be 15-20 minutes and we needed to go wait in the front near the door. I then told him that the time it took him to interrupt the woman and chew us out for sitting at an open bar was the same amount of time it would have taken to pour the 2 London Prides that we ordered. We will be sharing our story with as many people that we know. Most of our friends drop $100-200 each trip to this place. It is not worth it to spend that kind of money and put up with outright rudeness. This was not an isolated incident by any means, as we are beginning to hear similar stories from local friends. You have lost a...

This used to be a five-star on my list of restaurants. However, it has now hit the three star category, and here's why. We have gone several times now, and I thought it would get better, but it hasn't. A month ago, we went in just like we normally did, and we were met with a snarkey lady who told us we needed a reservation. We went tonight after making a reservation last week, and we received subpar food and service. The broccoli cheese soup was bland. The nachos came out, and they had to be eaten with a fork. The chips appeared to have come from the bottom of a bag. The beer cheese was barely there, but they still tasted pretty good. The burger was cooked well and tasted good. Overall, the food quality has gone down. Our waiter took our order, got our drinks, and disappeared. Another person delivered our food, and someone else cleared our plates. The waiter showed back up to give us the check and didn't come back for almost 15 minutes to cash us out. While we were waiting, we could see our waiter playing on his phone. We always take into consideration how busy everyone is. We couldn't see a reason for this. We won't be going back for a while. We will give it another chance in the future but will wait for a few months as we normally do when we have had several bad...

One of my favorites! I started with their “Tuna Crostini”- toast points topped with seared tuna, wasabi aioli, pickled cabbage, green onion, crispy jalapeños, and Parmesan cheese. Such wonderful flavor! Very unique crispy jalapeños, and the tuna was seared perfectly! I paired it with their “Southern Star Citrus Lager” which complimented the tuna wonderfully and was a great beer! For my entree I had the “Shrimp Tacos”- Mexican street corn breaded shrimp, roasted corn, cilantro, red onion, smoked jalapeño avocado cream. The shrimp were breaded just perfect, not too much breading, but enough to catch the breading of the shrimp, and I paired this with the triple IPA. Wonderful experience as always, and can’t wait to come back to try their “Peach Mama-Jama Burger”! Got to take home a bottle of wine as well; a wonderful price point and my server (sorry I forgot her name! But she was great!) was able to recommend a wine based off of what I told her I liked in a wine-can’t wait to try it! Check this place out if you haven’t already, worth the drive from San Antonio and Boerne!

This place is a gem! If you are in Kerville and you don't stop in to eat here...you missed a real treat. The atmosphere alone is enough to draw you into this place. Amazing wine selections displayed beautifully, incredible art work from local artists...and you can buy the art, a menu that will blow your mind, and service that is fun, friendy, and focused on making your experience a treasure. I had the adult version of Mac-n-Cheese with the House Chili...I am still drooling as I think about it! Also had the Brussel Sprouts as a appetizer...OMG! Order these and you will know why I am raving about them...flash fried and then sauteéd in a deep, rich, dark teriyaki soy type of sauce and topped bacon! I met the owners and the chef on my recent visit...all in all a fantadtic bunch of people who are extremely passionate about this place! Do not miss this one! Just check out my pictures and get to this place! You can thank me later!
