Ok folks from Kerrville. This is store #3 where color becme an issue. There were people of different races in this store. Mostly Mexican Americans, a few whites and 1 black man. I, myself, am a white woman, married to said black man. We were shopping in the men's dept. Both of us dressed nicely but not nice enough for church...he might've passed. We were not side-by-side. This elderly white store Clerk began to follow us around. Very obviously. My husband finally turned to her and asked her if he could help her with something. She shook her head no, but continued to stick to us like glue. I went one way, he another and she was right up on him. It was ALMOST comical because she was so obvious! Having had enough he asked her if he was offending her in some manner because she was obviously following him. I walked up, she shook her head "no" & quickly pointed out the Clearance rack to us. Folks! What is going on? I wasn't on a quest to expose racism in Kerrville but in 1 day...1 day, Sept 9...this type of incident occurred 3 times. The clenched to this story...we've been contemplating relocating to Kerrville...to support and pump $$$ into your economy...at what risk to people of other races...especially black?
UPDATE: Ok folks...originally gave this place 3 stars bc of the racial stalker Clerk. My husband and I went back Tuesday before T'giving. Same Clerk got on us like "white on rice"...pun intended! Hubby promptly addressed her very kindly and said, "You gonna follow me around the store again like you did last time". The Clerk hummed and hawwed, slowly backed away and quickly returned with a shopping cart and told us to "Enjoy your shopping". The rest of the shopping event was easy peasy. Don't let pettiness overcome your life. Racism is pure pettiness. Poor people don't know any better. YOU be the better person. Face your battles with love...pray for them. Love them anyway. And let them see Jesus work in BOTH your lives. God Bless. Be Kind. Love One...

I am adding to this review today cause my daughter; Heather and I experienced something pretty amazing. We were shopping for something that can go over my daughter's new outfit, like a light jacket or a button up sweater. It took us a while to find one but she seemed happy with what we found. Went to check out and their was a problem with the credit card machine. Between Heather, me, and both cashiers we couldn't get the machine to work and we didn't have any cash. Then the manager came along and she tried. We ended up finding 10 dollars cash and the credit card still wouldn't work. So we were standing there while they were doing their thing and then the cashier gave Heather her receipt and said have a good day. The manager had took off before the two girls told us that "Gracie" was going to pay the 11 dollar balance for Heather. I had to ask multiple times what had just happened because I had never experienced that in my life. I got her name from the girls as we walked out. If Burkes Outlet superiors ever read their reviews, I hope they acknowledge the manager (Gracie) of Kerrville, TX Burkes Outlet for what she didn't have to do BUT with her good soul she made my daughter's day a very extra special day because the jacket was actually for HER BIRTHDAY TRIP TO FIESTA TEXAS. GOD BLESS U GRACIE...
Read moreNot as big a selection of random items as some of the other locations, but a decent sized store. This location seems to have more like items and less one offs. This location seems to carry mostly clothing items. Didnt really find much in the mens clothing either, as far as T-shirts.
Have shopped here twice now, but didnt find the unique items I have found at locations in Seguin TX, Marble Falls TX,...
