I stop at this McDonald's each time I head from AZ to Rockport/Fulton. Pre-COVID-19, the food and service was standard fare and served up pretty quick. Before going any further, let's be honest - some locations handle "change" better than others. While the food has remained pretty standard, adapting to change (at this location) seems to be a bit of a chore for the employees. Observing from a distance, I'm certain that they're not intentionally trying to disrupt their own flow, but that's the case. Placing orders was easy. Confusion ensued when the order-taker didn't issue receipts/order numbers. You can guess how that turned out - not well. It wasn't a catastrophe, but it did create unnecessary confusion. In the past, people weren't freaked out if they received the wrong order (well, most people, anyway). Now, with C-19, it's the end of the world if someone touches something that doesn't belong to them, such as the wrong order.
A small but simple mistake now injects all sorts of havoc on people's lives. Was it the end of the world for me? - NO. But, it did shake up a few of the customers waiting for their orders.
Attention to detail is especially important right now. I'm not going to abandon this McDonald's store in the future, for a simple mistake. Better training and more consistency would make a world of difference to every customer who walks through the door. You CAN correct mistakes of the past by making small changes and...
Read moreThis McDonald's is a disappointment! Slow as snail snot!! My husband went inside to place our to go order. The gal at the register was clueless when he stated that he wanted a quarter pounder with cheese meal. Each time he stated that he wanted a quarter pounder w/cheese meal, she would smile and reply, so you want two big macs, (they're the same price)? He gave up after repeating 3 times that he wanted a freaking quarter pounder w/cheese meal and accepted the two macs meal...he got three fries, no drink, ho figure. He also ordered me a crispy chicken w/cheese meal...(only mayo and cheese). It ended up with pickles. The crispy chicken was "crispy", dried out crispy, to the point that part of it tasted like cardboard! Lol...and all three fries were cold, dried out. Very disappointing meals...and the front register staff/gal, couldn't care less. Do yourself a favor and bypass this McDonalds. Go to Whataburger or Taco Casa or any other McDonalds, but stay away from this one. (They need to get straightened out,). And staff need to stop pushing other meals to...
Read moreRemember ROMPER ROOM? It’s in the Kerrville,Texas McDonalds. Arrived to see two grown women asking staff why they wear mask, to have the counter boy tell them cause his “boss is old and don’t wanna get sick”. From out of town, this is a scary thing to hear. Instead of asking us if we were ready to order. He kept speaking to them. The over all immature behavior of the staff we could see and hear made me comfortable with how loud the staff was with school friends coming and going. We left before finishing. they are kids, I get it but do it quietly, try to be respectful. Staff were conversing with friends about “blocked” social media. Front counter help kept calling girls in and o ut to see “his boy” along with many more Jr. high school behavior. No manager in control I do not understand lack of professional service. Being in staff development, I would hope some of the staff need re-training in...
