Again continuing my quest to in Americana as best I can bar to bar to bar throughout this great land as I was heading towards the notoriously campy, tourist-filled area known as Duval Street home of the famous Duval crawl I noticed a sign and it said Irish Pub! That's all it took I'm in. To start off my evening I had a Guinness a pint properly poured wonderful and I was able to unwind and relax after my 12th year of retirement and seventh year of travel around America in my RV. Hey it's a rough job but, I got lucky. As stated elsewhere I visit bars saloons Etc the way some people visit churches and cathedrals. I don't quite want to say religiously but maybe irreligiously is closer the mark. Having set a registration point of a most wonderful pint I finally found that I was in Brady's Pub and now back on the mainland I tip my hat to Brady and the affable staff and customers...
Read moreConsistently good food for what is otherwise kind of a dive sports bar. Not normally my kind of place to eat or hang out, but the staff is super nice and the music is always good classic hits. I've had a bunch of things on the menu and I'm always surprised by how great the quality is. The patty melt is the second best one I've ever had. I wish there was a little bit more of a variety on the drink menu, but it's not that kind of bar. Anyway, it's probably my favorite bar over all in the keys....
Read moreTerrible St. Patrick's Day 😥. We arrived at noon, hoping to spend a few hours, listening to Irish music and having a few pints. We told 3 different Staff (on their shirts) we were here for the music. We were shoved into the back room, order fast, here's your food (one piece of fish in the fish & chips), clear the table, good-bye. We asked AGAIN- can you put the music over the speaker? Can we sit anywhere closer to hear? NO. Just pay and go. NOT our plan/hope for St....
