Friendly people and very clean! This is our 3rd time in Key West and our 3rd time staying here. I couldn’t ask for a more welcoming and accommodating motel. This trip we brought all our kids so a bigger room was needed. We stayed in the upstairs room above the office. Beautiful! A full mini kitchen, a bedroom with two queen beds and the living room with a pull out mattress. And the view... Sitting on the porch drinking coffee in the morning has never been so beautiful. We have stayed in another place for a couple nights once, but we always come running back to Harborside Motel and Marina. Plus... they have houseboats you can stay in as well!

What a wonderful surprise. You step back in time of the mom and pop hotels, bungalow and even houseboats as options to stay. I opted for a room that was updated and fresh with a nice balcony sitting area outside the room with a privacy fence. The pool was right on the water and was sparkling clean. You can sit here and enjoy your coffee and listen to the wasters and watch the sun rise. Rose is most pleasant and helpful as you check and navigate for some easy walks to downtown and enjoy the spirit of Key West. Loved the peace and quiet here for sure

This place was really great! We stayed in one of the houseboats, and it was great! The pool was awesome, the staff was nice, and the room was very clean. The location is a three minute drive to Duval St., and super close to the walkable restaurants. If you’re saying here, I recommend Sandy’s Cafe for breakfast, and Mellow Cafe for lunch. The Thai place around the corner was really good too! This motel was great.

|||Where to even start… when we arrived the boathouse was clean but smelled like dead something. First night I was bit by something in the bed, I wrote it off thinking it was the normal ankle biters, until night number two… I woke up with more red dots, up my legs, some on my arms (which I thought was strange since I have been to KW over a handful of times and this has never been an issue) night three I was ripping my skin off the bites were so bad, I pulled apart the bed. I found larvae in my bed, larvae hanging from the window sill, black pencil like smudges in the corner of the mattress pad, some sort of dead bug and dead larvae. I wanted to believe it was something else (and there was nowhere for us to move to due to powerboat week, I had also read reviews that the owner would kick you out with no refund) so I endured night number four, waking up again with new bites. I go to the front desk and talk to a woman who was incredibly rude and dismissive saying “we have never had bed bugs… our cleaning ladies clean well…” so I asked to speak with the owner. The owner was just as the reviews said… I showed him pictures of what I found in the bed, I showed him the marks on my body (someone the night before asked if I had chicken pox :() I explained that three of the four rooms/boats our friends/us have rented are getting bit by “something” and found larva of some sort in our beds… so he inspected the rooms and says “I didn’t find anything, we don’t have bed bugs”. So after a week of being eaten alive, over paying for a boathouse that smelled like dead something and being dismissed by the owner… I HIGHLY recommend if you want to enjoy your vacation to stay far away from this...

If I could give this place negative stars I would. DO NOT stay here unless you want bed bugs, rude staff/owner and the most uncomfortable bed possible. I have never had such a horrible experience at a hotel. The room is small, which is fine but when we got there the TV was broken, the toilet wouldn’t stop running and the bed was as hard as a rock and you could feel the springs through the mattress. I would have dealt with all of this but when the bites started showing up it was unbearable. For the first few nights I just thought it was normal bug bites but then 4 other people staying there also started seeing them all over their body. We then investigated the bed and sheets and found bug larva and black marks on the mattress pads and mattress. When we confronted the owner he denied that this was coming from his place by stating “I’ve been in this business for years and yes we have had bed bugs but three rooms at once aren’t going to get it. It’s not bed bugs and you’re crazy.” He refused to compensate us for anything and was extremely rude. If it wasn’t bed bugs it was something that was eating us alive at night, either way not acceptable and the motel should be seen by an exterminator. The lady at the front before we spoke to the owner said that he never compensated for issues. I paid 3,000 dollars to not sleep, itch for a week and then told to go F myself. You couldn’t pay me to go back there. If you value your hard earned dollar, sleep and skin, do yourself a favor and stay far far away...
