We were there for the annual Key West Seafood Festival in January. What a great venue this park affords! Plenty of open, grassy area to walk and enjoy looking at authentic tropical art, jewelry, specialty items which were also offered here. There's a pedestal to those with PTSD, one for those who died from their wounds after their service, one for women and one for African-Americans, and even a huge engraved column for a unit from New York who served in the Keys. These categories are often forgotten about at other memorials I have been to. The etched images and statues were spectacular. Stop by if you have even 30 minutes to spare....

It's a nice place to sit for a moment if you find yourself walking through the area. Veterans memorials always remind me of how many people have paid for our freedom with their very lives. I'm proud to be amongst the ranks of those that are willing to do so. Politicians can say whatever they want, to me, this will always be the land...
