Riviera Coffee & Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Key West

I stopped by Rivera Coffee and Sandwich Shop recently and was blown away—not just by the quality of the food and drinks, but by the incredible team running the place. There were three girls working behind the counter, and despite a long line that could’ve easily overwhelmed most places, they handled it like pros.

They were fast, efficient, and somehow still warm and friendly with every single customer. You could see the hustle, but also the teamwork and genuine effort to make sure no one felt rushed or ignored. It’s rare to see that kind of dedication and work ethic these days—especially under pressure—and honestly, a lot of people could learn something from the way they carry themselves.

BEST CUBAN COFFEE AND EMPANADAS EVER. I am very critical about empanadas as living in South Florida/Miami area I’ve tried many…the empanadas had great flavor. Even the sandwiches were great, I got the Cuban Mix sandwich and it exceeded my expectations. TERRY was wonderful and kind, she even served us when they were closing in 2 minutes. I sat outside and enjoyed my Colada outside on the chairs and met Marco who was a real character. Today was the day! Finally got to try them this morning and the coffee's delicious. Emapanda was too. Juicy.

They're truly a jewel not to be missed if you appreciate good Cuban coffee served up "vantanita" style through the corner window of a worn out plaza with old guys hanging around, talking it up. They're always here, crowding around the pick up window. Gives you the whole experience.
