Potbelly — Restaurant in Kildeer

This Potbelly resto is literally the best place I had ever been to! It was so nice going in here and I love how the ambiance of the place really lights up my mood. My family and I came here to have a family hang out and they really did love the experience like me as well. First of all, the place is very neat, unique looking, clean, well-organized, tidy, and bright. And the staff greeted us as we walked inside, really love the great service. Very phenomenal! Their staff are friendly, cooperative, well trained, professional, kind and patient. They would really talk to you properly and help you with your menu and stuff. Aside from the great service and neat ambiance of this place is that their phenomenal and well-seasoned foods. We ordered their pancakes and the kids in our family really loved the taste of it. We also ordered their Corned beef hash, Louisiana skillet, sliders, eggs and bacon, as well as their potatoes and meat. Would really recommend those! I love how they made their skillet and the meat. So tasty and delicious. Their size portion is very great and the deal is set perfectly! Really worth it going in here. Would definitely like to have another family time in here again! This review is specifically regarding the Kildeer/Deer Park location. All I wanted was half a sandwich and some Zapp’s salt & vinegar chips. I was shopping with my niece and just wanted a quick lunch. When I ordered the half sandwich, the girl who took my order didn’t indicate that you can only get a half sandwich on the pick 2. I was very belligerently informed of this by someone named Robert who Said he was the manager. He asked me what the other part of my pick 2 was and I was confused. I didn’t want soup or salad. He said he couldn’t sell a half sandwich, which is not clear from the menu. I ended up with potato soup which was bland and over cooked. I have been to Potbelly in Schaumburg and Rolling Meadows and have alway had great food and service. I will never set foot in this...

The gentleman who was allegedly the gm was very polite. However Shelby who is supposed to be an assistant manager was one of the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure to encounter. She was rude from the minute I stepped up to pay for my sandwich. When I asked for her name she flat out refused to give it to me. I asked to speak with the manager twice the second time she told her co worker she was done dealing with me and went to the back room. This woman basically threw a temper tantrum. I can’t imagine any establishment keeping someone like this as an employee not alone in the capacity of an assistant manager.
