We were in the area after the Spartan Race and needed to grab an early dinner. This seemed to be the only one open that had standard American fare. There was a group of hungry Spartans with me and the menu was vast enough to pique everyone's taste buds. I loved the old style look of this place; it really looked like an old saloon from the 1800s but it was built in 1971. However, the bar was from France and shipped to the US in 1887, hence the name. The parking lot was spacious. There was an outdoor patio that looked great to dine in. On the front lawn, there was a game of Cornhole. Our server was great. The food came out quick. I had the fried chicken over mash potatoes and gravy; wow, a very delectable dinner. Overall, we had a good time with good food.

I wrote this review 3 days ago: “Definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Friendly employees, fast service, beautiful place. My margarita was soooooo gooood!!!! Our waiter offered us different delicious cocktails 🍹 And nachos were the best I’ve ever eaten! And our hot desert was the best! Thank you! Will definitely come back again!” And we came back again 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏻‍♂️ Employees were friendly and service was very fast. Our waiter offered us burger and sandwiches. Soooo.... burger was the same as McDonald’s has 😭 nothing special, delicious. F.O.S. Sandwich was pricey and not as good as we expected. At the end we offered burrito 😩 it was cold and had a lot of fat it it. I wish we went there just ones...

is bar was actually made in France by an Italian immigrant, so there is a ton of admirable history that goes along with it. On the menu: salads, burgers, tacos and entrees. When we were there, the Smashburger tacos looked interesting. Tacos look like the real deal here: with 3 proteins including carnitas, chicken and shrimp. Yum. The salads looked ample and smelled fresh. Note: I reviewed Charity's 10 months ago at Jenny Blanco Tours Season 4 Episode 10. See all of the footage there!

We heard great things about Charity’s. We’re in town on a ski trip and looking for a fun place to eat. The decor and atmosphere were excellent, so naturally we expected a fun dining experience. They did not take reservations, so we waited 40 mins. Surely, we expected at least decent food after waiting that long. The nacho appetizer was very nice, but the kitchen forgot the guacamole. That was the least of our worries once the entrees arrived.

TRIGGER WARNING: Vomiting Ahead.

Then… the food arrived. Those at the party who ordered burgers had a decent experience. But, As my friend took a bite of his chicken, he immediately had to spit it out, and upon inspection, the chicken was as if it had only been cooked for a minute. Immediately, he began gagging. Myself and another friend were compelled to inspect our own chicken, and realized it was just as raw. It was not undercooked. It was RAW.

Our friend, so disgusted by his ingestion of raw chicken, raced to the bathroom and became violently ill. To say the least, this was not a good dining experience.

The waitress handled it very professionally. The waitress was incredibly apologetic and extremely helpful—saying “I wouldn’t want that either.” They comped part of our bill, which was sincerely appreciated given the situation.

However, we took new meals to go… I ordered a new chicken sandwich, offering an opportunity to redeem themselves, and wrongly assuming that this negligence could not be repeated. Yet, it was. The fried chicken sandwich I took to go was not entirely raw, but was rubbery, undercooked, and certainly not safe to eat. The entire middle was pink and entirely raw.

There is absolutely no excuse for a restaurant to serve raw chicken. It made my friend ill to the point that he was incapacitated. If you have any expectation of food safety, avoid...

We had a great time at Charity's! We sat out on the patio and I'm so glad we did. It was the perfect atmosphere. Our server was fantastic. She was so welcoming and had a great personality. She helped us pick what beer we would want(they have a bunch on tap) and was very quick in her service. She even asked the bartender what Pandora station was playing for us, because it was the perfect station for the atmosphere. We ended up getting nachos as an appetizer. They were super tasty and I highly recommend them. I got the Charity's Burger which was your typical burger. The bacon horseradish sauce was really good on it though. My boyfriend got the Grilled Caribbean Chicken Sandwich which was really unique. The flavors were good. They were both served on an English muffin, which I liked. It switches it up from the typical bun! Overall, I would definitely order from here again and would 100% sit outside(weather...

We ordered the Bavarian pretzel and the French onion soup. Both delicious appetizers and I can see why their soup is world famous. Dinner was okay. I ordered the steak and potatoes. The steak was a steak, it was not very juicy and the potatoes were a bit cold and flavorless. I would’ve probably added more butter or milk to make them less like you just scooped out a baked potato. We were also sat down in this back section with a ton of arcade games that made a lot of noise and were sat next to two families with very small children that were really quite loud. I don’t have anything against kids or people with kids but this didn’t feel like a very kid centric kind of restaurant. The place we were sat in made it feel less like a saloon and more like a Chuck E. Cheese. Drinks were very good and I recommend getting their hot drinks especially on a cold evening. Service was...
