Boba Tea & Pho — Restaurant in Kingsland

This entire place has gone down hill. Used to be the best Pho place in town, and is now by far the worst. Upon arrival of our visit on 1/5/2024, we found it to be very busy. No issue. It took 20 min to get our drink order. Then another 10 to order to simple pho dishes. Both of which came out wrong almost 45 min later (simple shrimp pho, no crab due to allergies which ends up being 2 #19's with no crab). We ended up having to ask for our food to go due to time on our end. They ended up taking the wrong bowls, and dumping them into to go containers and bringing them back to the table, despite being told that we couldn't have crab. At this point it has been almost 1.5 hours, we have been served a small plate of cabbage with 2 lime wedges, and 2 drinks. Since one of our party had to leave due to time, the other party stayed and continued waiting on food to go at this point. The next time the food came out, it was again...wrong. Crab. She paid, told them to do better and left the food out of sheer frustration. I ended up having to call the whatever 552 # they have and was met with a very rude and highly irritated person on the other end. Informed him of the situation, and he was very familiar. I advised him that would would like to have the food made properly, or receive a refund...but that we would prefer to have the food. He said "ok" I asked him if he knew what the order was, and he repeated it back correctly. It has been 2.5 hours since we originally sat down and ordered our food and no food.

edited. 3 hours after sit down, food appears to be correct, however flavour is lacking than what it has been in the past. If you are the new owner or manager of this place, please do better. 3 hours for mediocre food, that was wrong on 3 different occasions is...

4/5 Crispy Dumplings Smokey flavor but that’s to be expected with the sauce it comes with. I can taste the sesame oil not alot of meat either. Perfect amount great.

House Special Fried Rice 4.6/5 Taste just like my dads fried rice. It’s perfect with the exception of the what I think to be the soy sauce. Gave it a little bit of an odd flavor but it was delicious nonetheless.

Broken Rice Great flavor combination. The mix between the rice, the pickled vegetables and the savory pork l made this dish divine. 4.5/5

All together the service was great. The atmosphere was light and friendly. Our server was splendid and was courteous. Honestly a great restaurant. The only complaint I have is that online it says they close at 9. Maybe wish they had a little more vegetarian options. The server did say the website was hacked. For people who are interested they do takeout and...

Me and my husband popped in here for lunch the other day. They had just opened, so it was super quiet and relaxing. Our hostess/waitress was super nice and friendly. We ordered the taro bubble tea, shrimp pho and a sauteed pork noodle dish.

The taro came out very quickly, but there was a bit of a wait for the main dishes. The waitress was very apologetic and explained there were some issues in the kitchen. The chef was aware of the wait and offered to exchange one of the proteins with filet mignon at no cost. We thought this was super nice and we ultimately opted to have the pork replaced with shrimp.

When the main entrees finally arrived they were AMAZING! We have been craving pho and Vietnamese shrimp for ages. Every bit of our meal hit the spot making the wait well worth it.
