Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Kingsport

I went thou drive thou last night and was waiting at the speaker for several minutes, I said hello a couple of times and no one answered and drove up to the window and blew my horn and the manager came over and under her breath but where I heard she said she was trying to do inventory, but she took my order but her and the boy working the window was VERY RUDE AND WAS NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. And the boy said next time pull up to the speaker, I said I did. No one answered. And I ordered 2 milkshakes and when he gave them to me without a drink carrier , I asked for a drink carrier, and before he got it to me , the lid came off 1 of the shakes and got all in my cup holders and the middle part between my seats. I pinched the cup thou the window and told them that they need better lids and double check them and I needed it remade, which she did but it was 2 chocolate chip cookie dough shakes and they didn't even taste like cookie dough shakes & the 1 that was remade she didn't put No chocolate chips on top like the other 1 & she said that they was inside the shakes but that was a lie because after I got home I took a spoon and checked & it was NOT any inside & tasted awful & didn't drink it all . Threw half or more than away. I WILL NOT COME BACK TO THE ONE ON EAST STONE DR NOOOO MORE. I don't care if she said that i couldn't come back anyway because I WASN'T PLANNING ON EVER COMING BACK TO EAST...

NOT A SONIC FAN! Nor all-beef lunchmeats of any type! Beef can make me ill so always a risk. But there are those times you just have to have a HOT DOG! So I head to SONIC. Primarily because it's simply there. Secondly, because I like Sauerkraut and PAL's doesn't have sense enough to offer it as a special! So that being said, I particularly like the NEW YORK STYLE DOG and occasionally the CHICAGO STYLE (which was removed) and less often the ALL-AMERICAN DOG.

Pricing: Typical. Nothing new there. Location's: Convenient Wait Time: Less then 15 min. (Nite) & 30 min. Weekend Days I would say. Staff: Usually nice & attentive! But at nite watch out! May get less friendly attitude + badly overcooked food that looks ok but tastes like YUCK!

But great place to stop, grab a quick bite to hold you over before running home to cook an entire meal for family! Also great place to stop & make a few business calls, catch up with friends in privacy of car, or chat with a friend, or just relax a minute before heading to a stressful house full of people!

Either way the 'DRIVE-IN & PARK' concept will never lose it's appeal and probably just for those reasons I just cited above.......Never Mind the Quality of the Food, LOL! Just being able to roll down your windows in a safe spot and sit in your own vehicle + eat + conversate + take a few...

ZERO stars is the actual rating this location deserves. First I pull up at the stall and hit the red button at 10:17 pm yesterday. Sat there with a blinking light for over 5 minutes. Finally takes my order, the guy that took it was very nice but he was the only one. I waited almost 30 minutes on my order EVEN though it sat on their table inside the WHOLE TIME. There were three employees in there and they all just kept walking past it, not even caring. The carhop girl, my screen said her name was autumn, she continuously kept going to the car beside me at least 7 times while I was there. But couldn’t even be bothered to bring me my food that was sitting there melting and getting cold? So after waiting 25-30 minutes I had enough. I pushed the button and told them and she said okay we will bring it out. One of the other girls walked over to my order and picked up the milkshake to see if it was melted or not and then proceeded to wait 5 more minutes for them to even bring it out. When I receive my order 5 minutes before they close, my milkshake is legit soup, my 2 corn dogs were ice cold, and my slush had ZERO slush. This is a poor excuse for a so called “restaurant”.
