JJ China Diner — Restaurant in Texas

If I could give this zero stars I would!! My elderly mother and children went for dinner. Horrible.. Flat sodas where scoffed at.. When my son posted a review during dinner (as teenagers do) they were approached by the OWNER as he had mad “a joke” he came to the their table demanding he take it down, Which was upsetting to my mother and at her age, was completely unnecessary. Maybe he should spend more time caring about his customers than watching a post…. After leaving I received the phone call and obviously immediately called the owner who is very rude and said “I don’t really care”, and laughing in the middle of explaining the upsetting situation, he then handed the phone off to another “supposedly customer”that said he enjoys the food and he’s was just there to eat. No words for this, besides beyond my family being treated awful, subpar food, the owner needs to have his license pulled. I would not send my dog to eat or be spoken to the way he spoke and laughed to me. The amount of disrespect was absolutely unreal to me if I could’ve been to dinner with my mother and children this evening I would have and there is no way that would have been allowed but the words he spoken over the phone. I am more than happy to take my time to post. I never have had to post before but I will not be bullied into deleting this as he tries to do at dinner to two teenagers and an elderly women.Shame on him!!! Furthermore, if he’s worried about a post, he should be more worried about the Better Business Bureau. DO Not give them...

This used to be our favorite place to eat. The food has gone downhill though. Today I decided to get a lunch plate. Comes with an entree, rice and soup. I ordered this to go. I left, ate the plate and got to the soup and THERES MOLD ALL IN IT. GREEN AND DARK SPOTS ALL IN THE EGG DROP SOUP. I took it straight back as I wasn't far. Woman up front didn't seem to even care there was mold in the food. She was rushing to remake my order for me. I told her I didn't want the soup again, why would I since I'm assuming the entire tub of soup in their restaurant is mold filled. She couldn't understand me, kept repeating "I'll remake".and goes in the back. Comes back out with a new bag. I said I don't want this she just kept repeating "free, free". At this point I'm aggravated because I don't feel the issue was fixed nor taken seriously as this can seriously make someone sick, a bunch of people actually! I'm so mad at myself for not getting a picture of the first soup. Welllll I Open the new soup up in the car AND MOLD AGAIN HAHA. LIKE WHAT THE HECK? so if you ate egg drop soup from here on oct 20th, you ate some green mold my friend. I can at least share the mold I found in this cup, though not as much as the first cup, but alas, mold. It smelled kind of sour too. Guess I'm finding a new Chinese...

If I had to rate a restaurant based upon a lunch special alone, this place definitely get a good rating. Very reasonable lunch prices. They have lunch specials that include a soup, rice, and an entree for prices between 6 to 8 dollars. They have a good range of dishes from the normal ones you would see at any "Chinese" restaurant. They also serve up quite a few Thai inspired dishes.

The food is good, the service is good too. I don't recommend the crab rangoon. Mine seemed to be reheated rather than cooked at the time of order. While they weren't bad, they didn't seem to be freshly made. Again, not bad, but I have had better. I ordered a thai dish, it was pretty good, although not exactly what the menu said.

I would go back again, the lunch special is hard to beat, and the place is new. I am hopeful that they will work...
